“We only stayed there a brief time, but its a cute place with lots of lovely fruit trees. The outdoor kitchen was nice and stocked. Lots of cute little lizzards outside. Even though the place doesn't have air conditioning it was comfortable. The bed was comfortable and the outside shower was amazing. ”

“Nicely furnished, cozy studio bungalow in a beautiful, secluded garden setting. Nicely equipped kitchenette, relaxing seating area, and comfortable bed. Walk-in, open shower is impressive. Easy check-in, parking right in front, good communication with host. Fell asleep to frogs croaking and woke up to birds chirping. Wonderful stay!”

“This was a great place to stay to enjoy the Hilo side of the Big Island. Sitting on the patio enjoying morning coffee or an evening meal were the favorite moments of our stay. The owners are kind and giving hosts and proud to share the bounties of their farm. ”

The front porch was our favorite spot for morning coffee and a good book. You’re a short distance away from downtown Hilo, hiking trails, waterfalls and a clear night sky. “Great central local position on a great quiet street. Bit warm downstairs as we couldn’t turn the fan on but have the light off at bedtime for the kids. Close to airport, shopping and places to eat. Place was very spacious. ”

“Both the cottage and Jean were great. Her garden is amazing and it was wonderful to sit outside enjoying coffee in the mornings. We stayed at three different places on our vacation and this by far was my favorite. The cottage had a homey feel with a lot thoughtful touches, including reference books with lots of information. “This was exactly what our little family needed. Cozy, clean, comfortable. It came stocked with random toiletries I’m guessing were left by previous guests. (Thanks to whoever bought the aloe lotion by the way). As well as some beach gear, a plethora of towels and a few useful kitchen items. Checked into a hotel on the other side of the island and immediately missed the quiet little house where I could listen to the interesting night wildlife. The house is older by well maintained. “This location is absolutely beautiful. Weather you are looking to stay on the Kilo side of the island for the luscious land scape or to just disconnect for a while. The house is a home away from home in all aspects, especially if you have a family that wants to stay and hang out together. The easy check in/out was wonderful. The only thing that would have made the cooking and cleaning experience better would be the addition of measuring cups to the beautiful kitchen and a vacuum to use to...
