“The ground-floor cottage is part of a four-unit complex. There are three complexes and they are adjacent to a 9-story condominium building. The sandy beach is right in front of the cottage and if you are lucky, you may see green turtles resting in the morning by the shore. The unit is very well furnished (beach towels, snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, surf boards, kitchen). There is no a/c but there are plenty of fans so we felt comfortable. “This was one of the best places we’ve stayed at. Madeline is an amazing host but really if you’re looking for a quiet, beautiful place to enjoy, this is the place. Views in the morning were spectacular. Unbelievably quiet (minus the frogs). Make sure to follow the directions provided and you’ll have no hard time finding the place. “Perfect for me and my adult daughter and a friend. Close to the beautiful Kailua beach and some shops and restaurants. Clean and nice accommodations. The spiral staircase was fine for me- I left my suitcase on the lower level. Easy to find- great instructions. Lovely pool area. Would definitely recommend or come again if I return to this area. ”
