"The door stuck, hard to open hard to lock from the inside. Twice I had to call for help getting in or out. It was not as clean as it should be. Except for the bathroom. It was clean, but moldy around the tub. The room I had was quite shabby, it really needs to be upgraded."

"It’s a shame that this inn lacks investment and renovation. The owner works hard and tries her best but the establishment is in need of modernization. Musty smell from the old carpets, old bathrooms and badly locking doors. I felt that I didn’t get value for money compared to the other inns and bed ..."

"We really enjoyed our stay at The Scotsman, it was just as much of a destination as Pictou! The owners are charming and very interesting to chat with. The entire property is well decorated and charming. They’ve done a fantastic job with the place!"
