“We loved staying here and will do so again. The property was gorgeous and right on the water. We took the kayaks right on the water from the dock and enjoyed this so very much. We saw so many birds, an aligator, and astingray! We also spent a lot of time in the raised tree house area. We cooked on the grill, walked up the street to the area restaurants and bars, and visited Placencia. We also took a River Tour which we would HIGHLY recommend. It was awesome! Stay here. “Our first time back in Belize in 18 years . Umaya was the perfect place. The views over the lagoon towards the Maya mountains are perfect backdrop after a day at the beach and pool. The staff were great, very helpful with booking trips etc. The restaurant is excellent and the wood burning Pizzeria provides a great alternative. We will be back ”

“Authentic hotel to stay at. Beautiful. Note, there is a lot of seaweed so you can’t go in the water. Well you can a little on the left hand side. There are a lot of waves. I saw a couple go to the pier and jumped in for their daily swim. Also, the price for diner or anything you purchase at hotel from spa to food or anything else, it’s US Dollars. “The property is very beautiful and well taken care of. The staff was incredible from the front desk to house keeping and taxi drivers! The Placencia offers transportation in town and arranges pick up for fun stuff to do as well.i will definitely stay there again! The locals are great people! Super friendly and accommodating! I love Belize and their people!”

“L' arrivo a Placencia dopo parecchie ore di bus è stato un pò deludente. Per circostanze fortunate abbiamo potuto, con un piccolo supplemento, cambiare la stanza con una nettamente migliore al piano superiore. Il soggiorno si è poi rivelato molto piacevole, nonostante il meteo un pò variabile.”
