Hotel vicino a Plum Island Beach -

“Red Stains on carpet, says quiet time is 7pm-9am yet riff raff were out in parking lot till 4 am jamming out partying… Showers were clean tho and towels and sheets were clean but bed spread also had stains. Given two key cards and only one worked, of course that’s the one we had grabbed when we went down to pool”

“I felt this room was a health hazard. The carpet was wet and musty from humidity which left the tile wet when walked on. (Slipped but didn't fall.) The bathroom smelled like methane gas or sulfur our entire stay. The rubber seal on the bottom of the shower door is missing so water leaked onto the floor unless we figured a way to stuff a face cloth in the opening. The maintenance person was hosing down our entryway (?) as we returned to our room, leaving us with wet feet as we entered. This hotel...

“Our family was extremely disappointed with our stay. We picked this hotel specifically, due to the listing indicating that the hotel had a pool. This was extremely important for our stay considering my son is autistic and requires sensory relief. The listing is false advertisement. Tim, who worked at the front desk did not handle the situation properly, not only did he offer no compensation and/or token of apology, but laughed in our faces when we were visibly upset about the circumstances....

“Considering the price I paid for two days, the place really needs a lot of repairs; on top of that, they charge you for everything—even a $10 deposit for the keys, which you don't get back. I feel that, at the very least as a courtesy, they could have coffee or something available for guests in the office. All in all, I won't be booking there again.”

“We were assigned a room on the first floor because we are handicapped. Although the hotel rooms are ALL nonsmoking, the room REEKED of cigarettes. We were then moved to a very acceptable room but it was on the second floor - with no elevator. The desk clerk helped to carry our luggage upstairs. All was well until check out, when we had to carry things downstairs. ”

“It was close enough to the beach. We did not like the restaurants on Ocean Blvd.”

“The AC stopped working at the second we get to the room, unfortunately I had to stay inside my car for the night. The beach view is really nice and the parking area too, the floor in the room wasn’t very clean but everything else was.”

“We loved our stay at The Rockport House. It was within walking distance to town, though there is no staff on the premises, with one call or text, we had every question answered. Loved our room, loved the places to sit in the shade. We will definitely be back! One suggestion, have a water refilling station in the main house.”

“Property and the room was outdated. The floor was uneven. The bathroom sink was pulling away from the wall. The balcony was okay and it had a good view of the ocean.”

“The only real selling point for this property is the location and the oceanfront balcony. There is no elevator, no pool, the rooms are small, the shower was the approximate size of a coffin and security is all but nonexistent …BUT you are just a few steps from the sand and the balcony view is amazing. If you are looking for upscale accommodations this definitely ain’t it but if you are looking for just a (hard) bed to sleep in it is very serviceable for that. I would stay again.”

“Our stay was great. From the girls in the office to the guys in the snack shack everything was perfect. It was nice to have live music and cocktails outback. It was nice to hang out at the pool. Our room was comfortable and we could see the ocean. We’re highly satisfied.”
