Poharadise - classic family bach near the beach, pet friendly

Your own private oasis with a Kiwiana twist awaits right in the heart of Pohara – just two minutes walk from the beach. Welcome to Poharadise! This sun-drenched, four-bedroom classic 1960’s Kiwi bach offers everything you need to keep the whole family happy. You can even bring your pets along. Enjoy summer evenings firing up the BBQ on one of the two spacious decks, whilst the kids play on the flat sheltered, fully fenced lawn. Post dinner, challenge your group in a game of table tennis or darts in the garage. Stay entertained and connected with the books, board games, WiFi, TV (with Freeview and Chromecast) or take the available kayaks and paddle-board down to Pohara Beach for a paddle! On a winter escape, the wood burner will keep you toasty and warm. With plenty of parking – even for the boat – Pohara is the perfect base to explore Golden Bay. Ligar Bay, Tata Beach and Takaka are all within 10 minutes drive and the start of the Abel Tasman is nearby. Come and enjoy our slice of Poharadise!

Great location 200 metres from the beach. The house is warm and inviting and is fully equipped for an enjoyable stay. We particularly enjoyed the fully fenced garden and garage equipped with recreational equipment.

Everything about our visit was straightforward and we really appreciated the late checkout (on request) The Bach owners were very welcoming and the house itself was warm and comfortable. We were grateful for kindling and firewood already by the fire. We loved the comfortable beds, lots of blankets and all the games. Thank you , we will be back.

Wonderful stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house was perfect and the kayaks/ paddle board were an added bonus. Location was perfect. Wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend!!

Great toys!

Both my husband and I and our 2 kids (10 and 13) enjoyed the ping pong table, kayaks, paddle board! Also, the CD movie selection is great as are the board games. You can also walk to Molly’s pub for great drinks and music! Property manager Grant was readily available and very accommodating.

Excellent home at the beach

We had a great stay in the well equipped Poharadise, the location was perfect, across the road from the beach and a short walk to shops and bars. The house had everything we needed, only wish we stayed longer. It was great being able to bring the dog, he loved his morning walks on the beach.The kayaks were a hit, we had a beautiful day paddling to the islands off Tata beach with its beautiful golden sands, stunning.

Very comfy couches, beds and bedding.Dishwasher, washer and dryer make things easy.Oven-proof dish would have been a nice to have to make a potato bake.There's coffee, tea and suger available.
