Cima is a typical small Italian village by Lake Lugano, right near the Swiss border. It’s peaceful and simple, great for anyone wanting to slow down and enjoy nature. You can even go for a swim in the lake, which is a perfect way to cool off on a hot day. The area is also great for hiking or biking, with trails that showcase beautiful views of the lake and mountains.
There are a few local cafes and places to eat by the water, where you can grab a bite and take in the scenery. While Cima feels like a quiet getaway, it’s still close to the town of Porlezza, and it's not far from the Valsolda region, a protected natural park.
It’s also conveniently located between the busier spots of Menaggio on Lake Como and the city of Lugano in Switzerland, both just a short drive away.
Our cozy apartment is just 50m from bus and ferry stops, featuring a private garden with limited sharing and direct access to the lake—ideal for a swim or sunbathing. Thanks to new windows and doors, the proximity to the road isn’t a bother as noise is greatly reduced. Free public parking is readily available. You can easily reach Menaggio in 30 minutes and Lugano in 20 minutes. For those who love the mountains, nearby trails in the Valsolda region are perfect for exploring. Inside, the apartment boasts a unique cupola painted by a famous 19th-century local artist.
