This is our second time staying at Starfish Stays. The first time we rented a 1 bedroom, but this time we decided to bring some family and friends so they can see how special Manasota key is, and got one of the larger units upstairs. This is such a great place to stay! Comfy, clean, with everything you could need to either cook a meal or venture out with lots of great spots nearby. Lock and Key is great for a sunset dinner, so is Texas BBQ on the main highway (don’t forget the Texas sheet cake!), Coffee and Friends for breakfast was great, Joemaxx coffee on Dearborn street is unreal! (We even bought beans to take home), and of course ice cream at A better scoop is always a winner. Red tide was pretty bad this weekend so we weren’t able to swim, but we had fun hanging out at the house playing games, doing puzzles, and enjoying some togetherness. Usually the beach is GORGEOUS, typically isolated, and dog friendly, so we will have to come back with red tide settles down. We also drove to Punta Gorda on Saturday morning for their awesome outdoor fresh market and some antiquing! Shopping on Dearborn street was also a lot of fun! So even though the beaches were a wash, we still had fun because of the house itself and the location to everything. And our pup LOVED sitting on the porch watching all of the birds and lizards scurrying by. The unit is very dog friendly! Thanks to Paula and Scot for your hospitality, quick communication, and fun surprises at the house! We’ll be back!
