    WATERFRONT FISHING & BOATING



    The biggest advantage of this property is the private channel-front dock and boat slip directly behind the house.



    This setup makes it perfect for guests who love fishing or bringing a small boat.



    You can:



    • Fish directly from the dock

    • Tie up a shallow sport type boat in the slip

    • Relax on the lower deck right at water level

    • Watch boats pass through the channel or bring your SUP stand up paddle board or kayaks and enjoy the calm waters of the channel in front

    • Enjoy peaceful waterfront sunsets from the upper deck



    The Space:

    Welcome to our small waterfront fishing house on the channel in Port Isabel with a private dock, boat slip, and two-level deck overlooking the water. Port-O-Call Dockhouse is a unique small coastal retreat designed for anglers, boaters, and families who want direct waterfront access for fishing and boating.



    Fish right from the dock, tie up your boat in the slip, or relax on the deck watching boats cruise the channel at sunset. Located just minutes from restaurants in Port Isabel and only 10–15 minutes from the beaches of South Padre Island, this waterfront fishing getaway offers something hard to find — your own dock where the water is truly your backyard.



    Many guests love that kids can fish safely right from the dock without needing a boat and is especially great with kids though we do recommend putting life jackets on your kiddos just to be safe.



    The property also features a two-level waterfront deck, creating multiple places to enjoy the breeze, grill dinner, or watch the evening sunset over the channel with some margaritas.



    A gas BBQ grill is available for cooking your catch or whatever you please (please bring your own propane tank).



    Port-O-Call Deckhouse is a two-level fishing house located directly on the channel in Port Isabel.



    The home itself is small and quirky, but the real experience is outdoors — where the dock, decks, and water access make it a perfect fishing basecamp. It has 1 true bedroom downstairs, with a nook room for the twin over twin bunk bed, and the balance of sleeping space on two sleepers sofas upstairs that pull out to XL twin size beds.



    If you are looking for a large luxury home, this is not that to be transparent.



    But if you want a fun waterfront fishing house that is something a bit different, with a dock and boat slip, this is a great choice.



    THE LAYOUT



    This home has a two-level layout with exterior access between floors and stairs required. There is not an internal staircase.



    Ground Floor

    • Main bedroom with queen bed

    • Small side bunk room or nook with twin-over-twin beds

    • Full bathroom

    • Back door leading directly to the dock and lower deck



    Second Floor (accessed via exterior deck stairs only)

    • Fully equipped kitchen

    • Standard size living room space with table

    • Two sleeper sofas that fold out to XL twin beds

    And act as the other “bedroom.”

    • Access to a very large and nice upper deck overlooking the waterfront channel



    Again, there is no interior staircase, so guests move between floors using the outdoor deck stairs.

    The upside is two couples or dad fishing can split the space effectively for great privacy.



    KITCHEN & LIVING



    The upstairs kitchen includes everything needed for preparing meals during your stay:



    • Pots and pans

    • Cooking utensils

    • Dishes and serving ware



    Cooking at home is a great way to enjoy the day’s catch or prepare great time & value saving family meals.



    The kitchen and living room share an open space upstairs, creating a comfortable spot to relax after a day of fishing, boating, or exploring Port Isabel.

    PORT ISABEL LOCATION



    The house is located on Windward Drive in Port Isabel, a quiet coastal fishing town just across the bridge from South Padre Island.



    Nearby favorites include:



    • Hopper Haus Bar & Grill – large craft beer selection

    • Doubleday's Sports Bar & Grill

    • Isabel’s and Josephine’s for coffee and breakfast

    • Pelican Station – casual fine dining

    • Pirates Landing – famous waterfront restaurant



    If you catch fish during your stay, Pirates Landing will cook your catch or Tom and Jerry’s on South Padre Island also offers “cook your catch” service.



    EXPLORE PORT ISABEL



    Port Isabel offers several local attractions including:



    • Historic Port Isabel Lighthouse you can climb

    • The Lighthouse Square shops and museums

    • HEB grocery store and Walmart nearby



    The beaches of South Padre Island are only 10–15 minutes away, offering boogie boarding, skim boarding, and miles of Gulf shoreline.



    Uber, taxis, and local cabs are available if you prefer not to drive.

    Please understand the following before booking:



    • This is a very clean value-priced fishing house but it is small

    • The layout is unique with exterior stairs between floors and a bit funky

    • The biggest advantage is the waterfront dock, boat slip, decks, and fishing access



    These factors are reflected in the pricing.

    If using the sleeper sofas, please bring additional bedding.

    Primary guest must be 23 years or older.

    A signed digital rental agreement and photo ID are required prior to check-in.

    Up to 2 dogs allowed with $75 per pet cleaning fee.

    Please disclose pets prior to arrival. The property is not fenced and does not have a yard.



    SELF CHECK-IN

    Door codes are sent via text by 3 PM on arrival day. Our office is located at 2600 Padre Blvd and phones are answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for piece of mind.



    One guaranteed parking space is available in front of the home. Additional vehicles may need to use city street parking but we do not control space out there, FYI.



    SUPPLIES



    Starter toiletries and cleaning supplies are provided but not replenished or unlimited. Please think of bringing fishing gear; stand up paddleboards, and or kayaks. Easy to put in off dock.



    Clean, crisp linens and bath towels are provided though we do not provide bedding for the sleeper sofas.



    For stays of 3 nights or more, complimentary linen & towel exchange is available at the South Padre Trips office.

A short drive, approximately 10-15 minutes, takes you to the sun-kissed beaches of South Padre Island, perfect for a day of sunbathing, swimming, or watersports. For dining, you're just minutes away from a variety of options. Enjoy fresh seafood at Pirates Landing, a famous waterfront restaurant, or explore the craft beer selection at Hopper Haus Bar & Grill. If you're craving breakfast or coffee, Isabel’s and Josephine’s are conveniently located nearby. Explore the historic Port Isabel Lighthouse, a charming local landmark, or browse the shops and museums at Lighthouse Square, both within easy reach. Groceries are also easily accessible, with HEB and Walmart nearby for your convenience.



    Getting Around:

    Getting around Port Isabel and South Padre Island is easy. While a car is convenient for exploring the area, you'll find that many local attractions are just a short drive away. For those arriving by air, the closest airport is Brownsville South Padre Island International Airport (BRO), approximately a 30-minute drive. Parking is available at the property, with one guaranteed space in front of the house. Additional vehicles may find street parking, but availability isn't guaranteed. If you prefer not to drive, taxis, Uber, and local cab services are readily available to transport you to your destinations, including the beaches of South Padre Island, which are just a 10–15 minute drive away. Explore the local area and enjoy your stay without the worry of navigating through traffic.
