Barrier Dunes è un fronte golfo, comunità gated sulla punta settentrionale di Cape San Blas. Si trova adiacente alla premiata St. Joseph Bay Peninsula State Park. Getting to the property after hours was not a problem. Arrival to property was easy. The property could use a little TLC. There were some minor damages such as a dent behind the front door, broken blinds, sliding door not locking (hard to move btw, upstairs) ice maker not working and a bug in a drawer, the can opener was broken. That being said the property was fairly clean, very spacious, and a great location. The upstairs loft was very big and perfect for teens / kids. Just a few steps from the shore. You could not get a better location close to the water. You could sit on the deck, and enjoy the ocean. Even with a double red flag it was very relaxing. The people there were amazing. Night time on the each was filled with happy people and bonfires. People walking their dogs. It seems to be a very safe community and we really enjoyed it. I would absolutely come back, especially if they got rid of the wild rooster roaming around, lol. Side note, The rented gear was just ok via third party. Kind of rusty and was just thrown on the ground.

We had never been to this part of Florida before and were intrigued with this area. The property was a short walk to a beautiful beach that was mostly uncrowded and a great place to take long walks on the beach. There were a couple good restaurants very close and everyone in the development was very friendly. The house has great views and a lot of space. It could use a good cleaning and some updates, but the kitchen was pretty well stocked (no toaster, but lots of pans dishes and utensils). The beds were comfortable. If you are there for a longer stay, you do need to take the basics, like toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher soap and cleaning supplies.

1. Major rusting of entry lock 2. Major rusting of kitchen faucet 3. Notable rusting in refrigerator, around faucet and in other areas of the kitchen. 4. Mold on Master Shower Curtain 5. Construction next door shook the condo for the first two days......no escaping the incredible pounding of he steel and cement columns. 6. Doorways to decks were rusted and dirty; 7. Master bedroom's sliding door lock broken

Outstanding townhome! Nicely decorated and up to date; kitchen and bathrooms are well appointed and modern. Comfortable bed and fresh linens. Well stocked with kitchen tools, bakeware and dinnerware; made for an easy Thanksgiving dinner preparation. Steps from the beach and great views from balconies! Short bike ride to the state park.

Clean, comfortable place. Very friendly neighbors. A few steps away from the beach. Nice tennis courts and the solar heated pool (walking distance) was a very pleasant surprise. My kids loved it! Don’t forget your essentials (laundry detergent, dish detergent, salt, shampoo).

I should probably be one of those people who says everything needs updating blah blah blah. Just to keep anyone from wanting to stay here. But the truth is our stay was awesome. I got stung by a stingray on the next to last day there. But I would endure that again to be able to stay another week. Just an excellent vacation.

Every year a huge group of family’s come to this area. We all rent our own units so have seen lots of units. This one is by far the best location to the beach! It was very clean. Hopefully they take my feed back and get a can opener. And other than that just plan on bringing all the extra stuff (TP, paper towels, baggies, foil, dishwasher and washing machine soap, trash bags) that’s all very standard with all the units. But with our stay we had to go buy dish soap and hand soap. That’s not common. However I do highly recommend this unit lots of beds for bigger groups.

Visited for a long weekend during the holidays. Had an issue with the check-in which took multiple phone calls to resolve but the issue was ultimately resolved. The property has been recently refurbished and was clean and comfortable. The location was great with a just a few steps to the beach. We loved the area and plan to visit again.

The property was recently redone due to Hurricane, so it was very clean inside. The porch is ruff and so is the garage due to construction next door and surrounding units. Kitchen still needs some supplies. The location is great 60 steps to beach. Unfortunately surrounding renters are unable to follow simple rules an remove there belongings from the beach at night. This is sad.

Enjoyed riding bicycles on Cape San Blas, kayaking St. Joseph Bay and spending time on the beach! Views from the decks and access to the beach from the condo was great! Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed with this condo. It had not been thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival. There was dog hair on the furniture, floors, hearth and even the lamp shades. There is a hole in the foyer ceiling. The silverware and kitchen knife set were dirty. Pots/pans, dishes, bowls etc. used for cooking had to be hand washed prior to use. During the week, we found that the dishwasher did not clean well and probably needs to be repaired or replaced. Rugs and bath mats were dirty throughout the unit. Deck furniture was cheap plastic and uncomfortable. The grill was functional but under sized for the unit. Window treatments are worn and need to at least be repaired, if not replaced. Some of the floor tiles are cracked and loose in the dining area. The loft area needs serious attention (repainting and carpet cleaned). The furniture in the bedrooms and loft appeared to be a hodgepodge. We really enjoyed staying at Barrier Dunes and the location of this particular condo is great, but overall the quality of furnishings and level of cleanliness was a huge disappointment!
