Tree-lined streets and beautifully preserved homes give the area a timeless feel, while just around the corner, NW 23rd Avenue (affectionately known as “Trendy Third”) buzzes with life. This popular stretch is packed with locally owned boutiques, chef-driven restaurants, cozy cafés, cocktail bars, and dessert spots like Salt & Straw and Papa Haydn. Whether you’re up for a leisurely brunch, window shopping, or an evening of wine and small plates, it’s all right outside your door.



Outdoor lovers will appreciate exploring Washington Park—home to the world-renowned Japanese Garden, International Rose Test Garden, and Oregon Zoo. Just beyond that lies Forest Park, one of the largest urban forests in the U.S., offering over 80 miles of trails to explore on foot through lush Pacific Northwest wilderness.

Getting Around:

🚌 Bus — TriMet Route 15 (Belmont/NW 23rd) runs along NW 23rd Avenue with frequent service to downtown.



🚲 Biking — BIKETOWN bike-share is available in Portland; check its map for current nearby bikes and stations.



🚗 Driving — Street parking is available (read signs for time limits and meters). Rideshare (Uber/Lyft) is another option.



✈️ Airport — PDX is reachable by car or MAX Red Line; check TriMet’s trip planner for connections from the neighborhood.



Other Things to Note:

We want your stay to be as comfortable and clear as possible:



• Exterior steps and an internal staircase lead to the unit door, with another staircase to the two upstairs bedrooms. There is no elevator.

• This apartment is located in a multi-unit building, so occasional noise from other tenants may be heard.

• The unit faces a lively, central street—an unbeatable location, but some ambient city noise is possible.

• There is no dedicated parking. Metered street parking is unreserved and can be busy; follow posted signs and payment instructions.



• The apartment has one bathroom for the group. There is no guest laundry or guest balcony access.

We're local to Portland and happy to help with anything - from restaurant recommendations to a quick answer at midnight when you can't find something. We keep a hands-off approach unless you need us, and when you do, we're right there.
