Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the two main floors of the home, including laundry and the front porch space. There is a full-time tenant in the basement apartment with a separate entrance that has exclusive access to the backyard. Guests may walk through the backyard to dump garbage but the space is otherwise for the full-time tenant only.

The Neighborhood:
Voted one of the best neighborhoods in Portland by Sunset Magazine, the Richmond neighborhood does not disappoint. Located between the bustling streets of Hawthorne and Division, this neighborhood is chock full of many of Portland's best restaurants, bars and shops while still maintaining the eclectic "Keep Portland Weird" aesthetic that it's become famous for.

You can't get any closer to the action than at this house, which sits just steps from popular Hawthorne Boulevard, with some of the city's most heralded restaurants, cafes, shops and bars just a block away, such as:

--This home has a 3 night/4 person minimum for all weekend stays during the High Season and on holidays (May-September)

--Please note that the backyard is exclusively for the full-time tenant. You have access to the front porch / yard space.

--Please note we accept up to 2 small, well-behaved dogs (25 lbs or less) $50 per pet per stay up to 20 days. Stays of 21+ days or more the dog fee is $200. Please inquire about any other types of animal companions. PLEASE NOTE THE DOG FEE IS TO BE CHARGED AFTER BOOKING

--The homeowners have hired a professional management company. Do not be alarmed if someone other than the home owners responds to your query - we are here to help!
--We respect our guests' right to privacy and will stay completely out of your hair, if that's what you like. However, we also LOVE to share a beer with our guests, and will happily join you for a cold one, too! You call all the shots. :)

Enjoyed our stay, but

1) there is a small homeless encampment 500Ft from house. It did NOT impact our stay just not expected.2) for folks staying in hotter temperatures the AC doesn’t go below 73. We were there in the low 80s and we were uncomfortable.Enjoyed the house and accommodations.

Great home to stay at in Portland

This was a great home to stay at in Portland and was in a great location a super short walk to shops and restaurants on Hawthorne. We enjoyed the updated feel of this craftsman home. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and confortable. The beds are all slightly differnt softness so you might have to figure out which one is just right for you. We found the living room fun and cosy to hang out and just read on hot afternoons. The Kitchen was overall spacious and functional. We had a bit of a struggle to figure out how the oven worked, and we don’t cook with gas at home so we had to also adjust to that. There are renters in the basement but we barely saw them and never had any issues. The best thing about this house is the location. you can walk to so many great spots, and its a short drive to some of the other main drags. Out teenager wanted to go back to Salt and Straw a few times. We really enjoyed just walking in the surrounding neigborhood and looking at the beautiful homes and gardens. FYI. we were there at the end of spring and had great weather, so all the gardens and plants looked awesome. We would recommend this place if your looking for a comfortable, clean, home to stay at in a great portland neighborhood.

Wonderful House - Close Proximity to Shopping

Nicely decorated and well supplied with pots, pans, dishes, glasses, linens, and towels. Outstanding service when cleaning items were needed. 3 large beds with comfortable blankets. Neat and tidy large bathrooms. The dining table expanded in order to sit our family including other family members staying in another rental.Thanks so much for your hospitality. We really enjoyed the stay and the surrounding area.
