The Villa DonnaRosa (“VDR”) Guest House is a recently fully renovated private accommodation only a few minutes’ walk from the heart of Positano, the gem of the Amalfi Coast.
The beautifully designed VDR Guest House, located in Liparlati area, is modern, elegant and spacious. Recently updated with all the modern comforts, yet retaining aspects of the local Mediterranean traditions. It’s the perfect accommodation to fully enjoy “La Dolce Vita” while in Positano.
The VDR Guest House accommodates four persons – it’s composed of two bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom, as well as a kitchenette, living room area with full bathroom/shower, and a covered “breakfast” porch. Guests also have access to a beautiful shared outside terrace with heated pool.
Each of the rooms have individually remote-controlled air conditioning units, fast Wi-Fi connection, and integrated USB plugs. The three full bathrooms have spacious showers with modern fixtures. Iron and ironing board available for guests’ use; laundry service is available upon request at an additional fee. Daily general cleaning service provided; linen change every four days.
BEDROOM ARRANGEMENTS
- Primary Bedroom (aka “The Pizza Oven”): Queen-size bed (can be split into 2 Twin-size beds), ensuite bathroom with shower.
- Upper Bedroom (aka “The Limoneto”): Full-size bed, ensuite bathroom with shower.
THE INTERIOR
The ground floor of the VDR Guest House includes the kitchenette, a living room with full bathroom, the “breakfast” terrace overlooking the pool, and the Primary bedroom with full ensuite bathroom. A staircase in the kitchenette leads up to the Upper bedroom with full ensuite bathroom and “Juliet” balcony overlooking Positano.
The kitchenette is equipped with small refrigerator with freezer section, sink, dishwasher, microwave/convection oven combo, electric water kettle, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine, plates/silverware/glassware and table with chairs. Here guests can prepare snacks and heat leftovers. However the kitchenette will not accommodate cooking a meal. The kitchenette opens into the living room, equipped with sofa, two armchairs, desk, desk chair and satellite TV. The living room has a full bathroom with spacious shower, as well as access to a covered “breakfast” porch with two chairs and “table railing” overlooking the pool.
From the kitchenette, you can access the Primary bedroom - one of the most unique bedrooms of the VDR Guest House – in this, the old kitchen of the original Villa (or “The Pizza Oven” as we like to call it) , we have preserved the original barrel vaulted ceiling. This spacious room is equipped with a queen-sized bed (that may be separated into two twin beds with advance notice), sofa, chest of drawers, side tables, closet, safe, windows and full ensuite bathroom with chromo therapy shower and extra unique spa shower heads.
The Upper bedroom (or “The Limoneto” as we like to call it) has a full-size bed, closet area, desk with two stools, safe, full ensuite bathroom with shower, and a “Juliet” balcony with one of the best views from the VDR Guest House.
THE OUTSIDE
The beautiful outside terrace area of the Villa is composed by three sections, each available to guests of the VDR Guest House (during limited times). The main outside terrace includes a four-person cushioned sofa and two cushioned armchairs in the shaded area under a gorgeous ancient orange tree, and outdoor dining table with six chairs. The pool area contains a 4x4 meter heated pool, umbrellas, two cushioned lounge chairs and a small table. You can unwind after a day of exploring Positano and the Amalfi Coast. There is another small outside terrace found up approximately ten steps from the VDR Guest House entrance that consists of two chairs, small table, as well as several olive trees – the perfect spot for a morning coffee or afternoon glass of prosecco.
Access to the VDR Guest House is made from the street into the outside terrace through a shared entrance. Then, after passing through the outside terrace and pool area, guests will enter the VDR Guest House through their private entrance; the VDR Guest House is private and for the exclusive use of guests, while the outside terrace and pool area is shared with owner of the property who lives in the Villa. The outside terrace and heated pool is open every day from 12 noon until 6 pm. Pool is usually available from June through September. Guests may use the small outside terrace at their leisure but requested to limit noise.
GUEST ACCESS
The house is situated in the Liparlati area of Positano, only few minutes’ walk via a mostly pedestrian street from the main two-way road of Positano. At the main road, there is a local bus stop, a SITA bus stop and a small grocery store. Please note that it is not possible to reach the VDR Guest House via car; from the main road, guests must either walk up approximately 80 steps or a rather steep hill to reach the pedestrian street for a further few minutes’ walk with another approximate 20 steps to the door of the Villa/Guest House.
The main square of Positano is approximately 10 minutes’ walk either along the main road to the local one-way road (the most scenic route) or down approximately 150 steps to the local one-way road. Once at the town center, another approximate 5 minutes’ walk through a pedestrian street filled with little shops and cafes where you will reach the main beach and pier area.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- Check-in from 4 pm.
- Check-out by 10 am.
- Guests must be at least 18 years old.
- NO Pets allowed.
- NO Parties allowed.
- Use of the VDR Guest House, outside terraces and pool area is for the exclusive use of registered guests of the VDR Guest House.
- NO Smoking or vaping in ANY area of the VDR Guest House, main outside terrace, pool area, small outside terrace, or any area of the Villa; the Deposit will be forfeited in its entirety and the Guests will be required to leave immediately with no refund of unused nights if smoking or vaping is detected.
- The main outside terrace and heated pool is open every day from 12 noon until 6 pm only – please note pool is usually available from June through September - this property is located in a neighborhood so guests are requested to be courteous to our neighbors and limit noise; Guests may use the small outside terrace at their leisure, but are requested to limit noise.
- NO glass or bottles of any kind may be used at the main outside terrace or pool area – this is for the safety of all guests and the integrity of our pool filtering mechanisms. BP-free containers are available for use in/around the main outside terrace and pool areas; guests must transfer any beverages to non-glass containers BEFORE entering the main outside terrace and pool areas.
- The VDR Villa and Guest House are chemical free – we use only BIO products to clean the Villa and Guest House. The pool is a salt water pool with no chemicals used.
ADDITIONAL FEES
- City Tourist Tax is 2.50 Euros per person, per night; it will be collected in cash upon arrival – please plan accordingly.
- Laundry service is available for an additional fee.
- Porter service to carry suitcases to the VDR Guest House is available upon request (approximately 10 Euros per bag to/from the main road or 15 Euros per bag to/from the pier).
- Inside parking is available approximately 15 minutes’ walk from the VDR Guest House (parking rates depend on the size of the car).
LATE ARRIVALS
- Check-ins after 8:00 pm will incur a 50 Euros fee; consideration will be made for unexpected circumstances such as delayed flights.
