    FAQ’s:

    Pet & Animal Policy:
    To help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all, we require every guest to submit pet or assistance animal information through BetterPet Passport (powered by PetScreening). Guests will simply submit “household pet” information, request an accommodation for an assistance animal, or confirm they are not bringing a pet/animal. It’s free, and only requires creating an account if you’re bringing a pet or animal. After booking, you’ll receive a link to complete the process.

    Heating and cooling:
    - Thermostats: The home features two main thermostats (Great Room and 2nd floor en-suite) plus a mini-split unit in the Sunroom.
    - Settings: Please maintain the temperature between 68°F and 72°F. Note - the system is locked at a minimum of 68°F to prevent the HVAC from freezing or malfunctioning.
    - Summer Sunlight: To keep the home cool, please keep the lakeside blinds down during the afternoon. Sunlight reflecting off the water can heat the house quickly; using the blinds ensures the AC performs efficiently and the space remains comfortable.

    Fireplace:
    The fireplace is OFF LIMITS to our guests. Please do not tamper with the fireplace and keep the protective screen in place.

    What is capacity?
    - Sleeping capacity in the house is 6. We do not allow more to sleep as we do not want to jeopardize our rental license.

    Being a Good Neighbor:
    We love our community and want to ensure a peaceful stay for both you and our neighbors (many of whom have dogs). We kindly ask that you follow these guidelines:

    - Quiet Hours: Please enjoy the serenity of the lake quietly between 10PM and 8AM.

    - Parking & Grounds: To keep our property looking its best, please park only on the paved driveway (the carport is best!). Please avoid driving or parking on the grass on either side of the driveway.

    - Property Boundaries: While the lake is yours to enjoy, please stay within our property lines. The docks and boat ramps to the left and right are private property and not available for guest use.

    Sewer & Septic Care:
    Our home uses a sensitive plumbing system. To prevent backups and damage please follow the below:

    - Kitchen: No garbage disposal. Please do not wash food scraps or grease down the sink.

    - Toilets: Flush only toilet paper. Please do not flush wipes (even "flushable" ones), feminine products, or other foreign objects.

    Early check-in?
    - We cannot guarantee an early check-in. We use the precious little time we have to prepare the home for you! Assume check-in will be 4pm but you can reach out prior and we might be able to accommodate. If you NEED an early check in, consider booking the night before so you can check-in upon arrival. Fees start out at $50 for an early check-in if we can accommodate.

    Late Check-out?
    - Maybe. It depends on our next guests. We will not guarantee a late check out until the weekend of your booking. Shoot us a message and we will see if we can accommodate! If you need extra time, consider booking an additional night so you can leave at your leisure. Fees start out at $50 for an late check out if we can accommodate.

    Can I book on behalf of a friend, family member, or co-worker?
    - No. Third party bookings are prohibited. Please have the guest who is staying book themselves

    Is the home suitable for children?
    - At this time, we only have a couple items that will help out such as: child gate for the stairs and child dinnerware & utensils.

    Can we bring pets?
    Yes, but dogs (max of 2, 50 lbs each) only and upon completion of submitting information through BetterPet Passport (powered by PetScreening). See details above.

    Can we have people over?
    - Yes, kind of. We expect all guests to be listed on the reservation. If you are having people pop in, give us a heads up. We will not allow open invite parties or a number of people over what our rental license allows!

    Security
    -There are cameras on the exterior of the property, at the front & back doors and the back yard for the safety of our guests & property.

    To Do Before Check In (REQUIRED)
    Prior to your stay, we require you to complete our Pre-Arrival Form, and sign & agree to our Rental Conditions.

    - Unapproved late checkout $50/per hour +

    HOUSE RULES
    -The person booking is responsible for all guests reading + complying with rules
    -Quiet hours are 10p to 8a
    -No parties - events allowed if approved prior to booking
    -No one is allowed in the house that is not listed on the reservation
    -ALL people must be in guest count (teens, children & infants included) to ensure we are in compliance with our Short Term rental guidelines
    -Guests will not tamper with any security cameras for the exterior of the property which means no unplugging them (or the wifi) or covering them up while at the house (doorbell camera, front door and backyard camera).
    -No smoking or drugs are allowed in the house. Smell remediation of any kind will result in a charge starting at $250
    -Additional cleaning fees resulting from a party (including all bodily fluids), start out at $250, please be respectful of our property and clean up after yourselves
    -Flush only toilet paper in our toilets. Even the "flushable wipes" should NOT be flushed.

    -Unapproved late check outs will incur a $75/per hour charge

    -Travel insurance is recommended. Refunds will not be given due to inclement weather

    -Penalty for not disclosing a pet is $450

    -Parking in the driveway is limited to 3 cars only. Please be aware of our neighbor’s driveway/yard when you and your guests are backing up/turning around any vehicles. Damage to neighbor’s property will result in a $350+ charge (pending cost to fix it) and camera footage will be provided
