“Inserted in the tropical cloud forest, this place is magic. The Toro Amarillo river taints the stones orange and gives a constant roaring, the congos haul to contrast with the crickets and cicada's background rhythm. But most of the healing comes from the hot, yellowish mineral spring water pool, alternating with the very cold, crystal clear spring water. While the cabins are rustic, the staff are all wonderful. We will come back for another “forest bathing”, and perhaps a zip-line adventure....

“The couple who owns the place was very nice, accommodating and friendly. You have to pay attention when you first arrive, as the area is not marked very well. the beds were very comfortable and the view from the balcony was perfect. ”

“Staying at Maquenque Lodge was a pleasant surprise as staying in the middle of the rainforest was an unknown experience. The staff was very welcoming, there for all of your needs, and very helpful. The Wifi was outstanding throughout the property, AC units for the treehouses were perfect for the humid conditions and the jacuzzi was a fun bonus. Plenty of activities to do on your stay and be prepared to be doing lots of walking as houses are a bit away from restaurant.But, it's worth the hike as...
