“This property was better than the pictures online. Well maintained and beautiful environment. The thermal pools were amazing. There were wild turkey’s roaming the property that was a site to see. The staff were great. The view of arenal volcano is breathtaking. Just wish this was an all inclusive resort. I would stay here again.”

“This place was busy, loud, and not well maintained. The room was very dark and outdated. There was music blasting late into the evening and trucks going by at all hours. The buffet breakfast was the worst food we had while in Costa Rica. There were lots of pools and some nice gardens on the property but tons of people. They made us put on two bracelets upon arrival, a paper in car window, and gave us plastic cards for towels. This place has too many rules. We were supposed to stay for 3 nights...

“I stayed at the Riu Palace. The rooms were terrible. Outdated, stains on the walls, paint chipping on tables, old moldy smells, and filled with bugs. The bugs come from being in the mountains and surrounded by many trees. Unbeknownst to me they are closing this location for renovations September 1, 2026. I think they will reopen next year after March sometime. Wait until then to plan a visit. Other than the room, the resort is nice. Other areas are well maintained. The staff are exceptional. The...
