If you want to enjoy CR with a local feel and experience this is a place for you. The owners were responsive to questions and w/recommendations sheet to go. “Our family loved staying here. The space theme was very fun for our young kids to explore. The location made you feel like you were in the jungle, and we had some bird wildlife sightings from the porch, but is actually very close to the main area of town and all the main activities in the area. We loved how it was tucked away under the large trees, and the children absolutely loved the daily monkey visits. “The house was very clean and comfortable. The host was very responsive and assisted us navigating the area and services. The washer and dryer were a plus. There were plenty of bathroom and kitchen supplies. The house was in a convenient location and we felt very safe. ”

“To stay here a car is the best way to go—it’s located on a lovely property a bit outside of Santa Elena proper—not walkable to the Cloud Forest and other things we wanted to do, although only a short drive to coffee tours and a nighttime wildlife tour. The house is beautiful in a very contemporary Latin American style. Nice pool, but it was a bit rainy when we were there and sun breaks did not correspond well with when we wanted a dip—but we can’t blame the hostess for that ”
