“We enjoyed the deck at El Refugio. The beds were also comfortable. Nice location and view of Ensenada. 4 stars on cleanliness because there were a few really dirty spots (top of glass over stove and top of fridge) where a simple damp sponge would have done wonders. Hot water appliance also failed and was tricky to get hot water. But we were able to contact on-site person and owner and everything resolved to our satisfaction (I was able to take a hot shower). “Returned guests. Beautiful as we remembered, the landscape, the boardwalk, the beach. Breakfast was delicious, and dinner was good. Our room had an amazing view, and we loved our room, but it had a few downsides. The bed was stiff, you could feel the springs, and the shower head minor flaw with shutting the water off, but they were quick to send maintenance. Overall, we had a great time, relaxing, sleeping in, and staying by the pool. ”
