“Rates as a good property, wee bit out of town but great parking, great bed. Seems to suit commercial travellers for one night stays. Huge bathroom but tiny shower......could not touch your toes if you bend over. Reception was efficient but man was not overly friendly...would have been nice to have a rather warmer welcome”

“We tried booking beachfront hotels but when we saw this place, we instantly knew that it will offer us better accommodation. The view was spectacular from the room. The area was quiet the place feels like home. Very comfortable and to top it off, the delicious homemade breakfast by the owners. They were very accommodating and entertaining at the same time. It was our first time in Paihia and it did not disappoint us. Will definitely book this accommodation on our next visit.”

“We decided to spend a little more on accommodation than we would normally do, and I am so glad we did. I'm sure our trip to Northland would not have been the same if we hadn't. The place is beautiful, calm, the views stunning, everything you see on the photos. What we hadn't anticipated was the natural, unfussy kindness of the hostess, who made us a spectacular breakfast every morning at the time we preferred, and gave us some really great recommendations of what to do with time, kindly made...

“Very tidy hotel helpful staff and handy to shops and restaurants ”

“Wonderful place to stay, with extra touches to make our stay special. Accommodation was clean and comfortable with plenty of space, with a balcony offering beautiful views over Bay of Islands. Excellent location for getting to quay fir boat and ferry trips and within walking distance of Waitangi Treaty Grounds. (Although the steep walk back up hill after a day out is quite tough...but view was worth it). ”

“We stayed in an ocean view unit at the front of the property and for the price it was fantastic. Short walk to restaurants and shops. Our room was small, but clean. There are larger rooms, but we intentionally chose room 7, I think, for more privacy than the other units. The furnishings and room in general has “tired” decor so if you’re looking for modern and updated this isn’t for you. If you’re looking for a great stay on a budget this should fit your needs and price point. ”
