Hotel vicino a Qinghai-Tibet Plateau Wildlife Zoo - Xining

“This apartment hotel is beautiful and the amenities are first class. BUT: 1. No one speaks English, not even the managers 2. You cannot book food to your room AND you cannot use their credit card machine because it asks for a 6 pin and a 4 digit pin will not work. I tried the trick of adding 2 00s to the end but that did not work either. I spent hours trying to a) order in-room breakfast and b) pay for it. I tried to talk to management about it but they do not speak English. Expedia...

“Comfortable clean hotel”

“The location was excellent - close to the wildlife park and botanic gardens as well as some excellent walking through rehabilitated forest to high, surprisingly interesting cemeteries. Little English spoken but reception staff were very adept at using their phones for translation. The breakfast was outstanding. All staff were warm, friendly and went out of their way to be helpful.”

“Good location. Walking distance to train station and bus terminal. No air conditioning.”

“Most of the advertised elements (spa, dining, conference rooms) are not completed yet or closed for repairs. Hotel was <5% occupied when we were there, and the limited staff were using the hotel for other commercial activities. We left after one night. We recommend avoiding this property. ”

“Very nice rooms helpful staff even as non Chinese speaker”

“Elegant and beautiful with superb service! We had a beautiful view of the park, the room was superbly appointed with anything you could want and the service was impeccable. Just pick up the phone and a robot will bring you extra soap or coffee pods! And the in-person staff were always friendly and professional. Old school (but totally modern) and highly recommended.”
