“We loved using the kayaks and boats on the water. We got to see a pair of loons. The location was great. We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pools.”

“We had an updated room which was very nice and we had a small balcony and great view of the lake and mountains. Loved the complex and easy accessibility to town. Unfortunately the construction impacted the elevators, and made access to the pool less convenient. I get that updates need to happen but it was a shame how much it impacted lots of the shared space. But once it is done we’d definitely come back.”

“The Hungry Trout Resort is a classic place to stay if you are interested in fishing the Ausable River. Very convenient with private access to the river. The fly shop on premises is excellent with great guides! The Pub was great in years past but is closed now. I really hope it reopens. The upscale restaurant is very nice with great views of the falls. Overall a solid place to stay without the hustle of staying in Lake Placid but close enough to go there for dinner.”

“Tv did not work. Gentleman came in And said they ordered ROKU but they were not there yet. In the hallway so many cobwebs and light fixture full of flies. Would never stay again. Not clean at all.”

“Beautiful property on the lake. Check in was slow and they were behind schedule, which was frustrating. However, they gave us free breakfast vouchers, which helped. The restaurant was great, we ended up eating there twice. It’s also one of the only waterfront places to eat, as most of downtown isn’t waterfront. It’s a quick walk to downtown, but it’s hilly at points. It was nice to relax by the lake and watch the sunset, and enjoy the firepits at night. There’s also a cute ice cream place next...
