Relaxing Vacation

We enjoyed our stay. My boys were bummed about the jellyfish in the water. They loved being able to paddle boat around the dock area.

Fun get a way

Lovely home on large property. Easy walk to the dock. River area was beautiful. Large screened in porch was very nice. Sunrise on the river was amazing. Highly recommend!

Perfect location for our family

This was an ideal solution to having all the adult children, grandchild and in-laws close to us for the holidays! House was lovely, well appointed with everything that was needed for a comfortable and worry free visit. Will be back!

Great River stay

This property is immaculately clean, plenty of living space to enjoy, and dock access to the water. The dock is a short walk from the house and water views are blocked by other properties. The screened in porch is large, has fans, and was a place we spent lots of time.

A restful reprieve

Very accommodating, comfy beds (a real +). Kitchen fully loaded with supplies (including spices and condiments). We spent so much time down on the dock crabbing and fishing. Our dogs loved the freedom and space. Made friends with others in the area and did dog walks with them.

Wonderful place in Reedville, Va.

Great place to stay! WonderfulVA. operty and amenities. Nice tray of welcome goodies that even included a bottle of wine! We went on a fishing charter at Smith Point Marina which was less than 10 mins. away. The only thing that was 'off' were the bed sizes....there is actually one queen and two full size beds. No biggie though, we would definitely stay there again!

Catching up with old friends

The property was lovely - and absolutely SPOTLESS. The bedrooms were well appointed and it was nice that we could each have our own room. I couldn't give the fifth star for accuracy of online listing because while the property is waterfront, the house is not. The need to walk down to the water is the very last sentence in the listing - we all missed seeing that little item!

Autumn getaway

The property is as pictured. Large kitchen, nicely equipped. Lovely decor throughout the house. Loved the screened in porch, spent many hours there. Easy to communicate with owner who was always quick to respond. While it states water view, one must walk down to the dock to view.. But the view is lovely and the owner has provided many seating areas. It is a peaceful, serene setting with every amenity. Without reservation, I recommend this propery.

We had a pleasant stay overall, but found the property description to be inaccurate in a few key areas. The description and title using the word 'waterfront' is misleading. We were disappointed to discover there is no view of the water or pier from the house itself; it is located on a street, requiring a walk of about 50 yards to reach the pier. This distinction is important for setting the right expectations.Additionally, the pier is not accessible for individuals with mobility issues due to a steep hill leading to the pier, which should be noted in the listing for guest safety and planning.On another note, we were missing a complimentary bottle of wine mentioned in the amenities, and the host stopped communicating when we enquired about it, which was unhelpful.
