Kitchen was well equipped, a nice view. Quiet neighborhood. Only problem was the cesspool. It did smell most days and there was very low pressure in the outdoor shower, which we used most of the time

The property was clean and in very close proximity to the beach. It had everything you needed to enjoy your time on the water and sand. The outdoor shower was especially helpful and the entire house was very well appointed.

Recently stayed 9/6-9/13 and could not have asked for a more beautiful week. Despite a rainy day or two, it was a quiet and relaxing stay. Most days we could hear the waves from the porch. We even got to see dolphins close to shore! Can’t wait to come back again next year.

We enjoyed our stay very much! We were thoroughly impressed with the level of "home comfort" the beach house provided. From many large, soft beach towels to all the beach equipment provided, everything was accounted for. The rooms even have laundry hampers! Air conditioning and water pressure was strong. The kitchen and main space were great. There were board games and books for our kids (ages 5 and 8). The screened in porch allowed for relaxing early mornings and meals outside. The walk to the beach was quick and easy - though we understood the need for the motorized cart very quickly given the steep walk down! We loved the donuts and sandwiches from the Broadkill store, and had ice cream a few nights too. The street is quiet, and the beach was never crowded! Our ONLY downside - which is in no way the fault of the host or house - was the jellyfish. I want to add this for future visitors just as a point of safety/awareness. The bay gets warm and has had increasing numbers of jellyfish. My husband and daughter were both stung, and we couldn't get in the water 4 of our 6 days there. Because Broadkill Beach is unincorporated, there are no lifeguard nor any posted signage about the risks. The beach breeze and temps during our stay meant we could still enjoy the beach and build sandcastles, collect shells, etc. We also went to Rehoboth and Cape May for a day and could enjoy the water and activities there. Just be prepared to be flexible if the jellies are around!

Great location

The whole family loved the house, the proximity to the beach and the overall condition of the property. The only gripe we had was that the door lock was very tricky to get open. But as a side note we thought the electric beach cart was kind of gimmicky when we first looked at the property, but it ended up being one of the coolest features we have ever had while doing daily treks to the beach. We would definitely book hear again.

My purpose for choosing this rental was leave the craziness of everyday life behind and spend a relaxing week with the family, and i cannot convey how perfect this rental is for that. This rental was very well maintaned and probably one of the cleanest places i have rented. The community of broad kill beach was so beautiful and peaceful it feelt like a different world from the surrounding areas. The storage area was fully, probably over stocked, with items for the beach, making our stay even that much more pleasant. Being able to take such a short walk over the dunes and camp out on the beach all day was just perfect. I would definitely consider coming back at another time.

Relaxing Getaway

This was our first trip to the Broadkill Beach area. It is a beautiful beach. We loved this house. The house has everything needed to enjoy a relaxing stay. The screened in porch is awesome! We will definitely return!

Second Year at the Beach

We rented this place last year and were so impressed we came back this summer. The property is clean but what we appreciate most is how everything we need is at the house. The kitchen has all the tools you could need, there are games and puzzles for downtime, and, most importantly, everything you need for the beach. I love not needing to worry about bringing chairs, umbrellas, or sand toys. It’s all there including a cart to carry it. Plus the beach access is right at the house, so it is incredibly easy to walk over the dune and be at the water. I would definitely recommend this for a family beach vacation.

Home Away From Home

Great location!! This house had everything we needed. The kitchen was perfect. We don’t go out to eat often so we enjoyed cooking in, sitting on the beach and the screened in porch was awesome. Amazing Rental!

Everything was so incredibly clean and tidy. My 3 kids loved playing Cornhole and giant Jenga and the beach wagon was very convenient. We LOVED how close the Broadkill store was. We went just about everyday for ice cream, cold cut subs, or sticky buns. The screened in porch was perfect for staying clear of mosquitos. There is another toilet in the storage area that came in handy a few times. We LOVED our stay and Brad was readily available when we needed him once. Thank you and we will be back!

Amazing and well appointed beach house

What a gem of a property! My Girl Scout co-leader and I took our troop for a long weekend to celebrate their high school graduations. The house was a neat as a pin and well appointed with all of the supplies we needed to cook and enjoy the beach. We were steps from the beach and the Broadkill store on the island. Get the donuts at the store early because they do sell out by 0900!

Relaxing, fun vacation!

The house is beautiful, clean and we loved the large screened in porch. The beach is quiet. You do have to drive a bit to get to shops and restaurants, but, we didn't mind, Lewes is only about a 15 minute drive. We will definitely come back.

Lovely home Broadkill Beach

It was easy to check in and we had plenty of space. It’s a lovely home and has a lot of amenities in the kitchen. The screened in porch was enjoyable to sit on. A quiet neighborhood and a local store just a block walk away
