Great stay for our family
We loved our stay here. The views of the lake are beautiful, lots of space, and very easy access to town without being in town. Very kind and flexible owners with quick communication. We will likely stay here again!!

Family Holiday
It was a beauiful cabin with plenty of room for 6 of us and my dogs. Everything was there as stated. Family loved the hot tub. Only sad thing that kinda sucked is the lack of ice on the lake 😅

Great location
Property was in a great location, right on the water, close to restaurants and not too far from Rhinelander. It was nice having the car garage available especially since it snowed. Kitchen was stocked. One downside was the master bedroom was a loft and didn't have 4 closed walls and the kids weren't thrilled about sleeping in the basement. Overall it was a great place to stay.

Second time and NOT the last!!!!
My husband and I (and our 2 labradors) stayed at this property last year and couldn't wait to come back. And can't wait to go again next year. The hosts are amazing- great communication! There are neighbors but the house is still secluded enough to make a serious introvert happy. Rhinelander is only about 10-15 minutes in case you need supplies. Plenty of fans (in case you need noise to sleep) or just cool off. The beds and bedding are very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and the gas grill works great! The lake is part of a chain, so great for canoeing or kayaking (or paddle boating). We go to unplug and relax (so the hot tub is a must), but there are definitely enough other entertainment options to make about everyone happy. The location is great. The amenities are perfect for a romantic getaway or family fun. Obviously, can't say enough good things about the place and the hosts. Seriously can't wait to go back!

Cold!
This is a beautiful cabin on Lake Moen. The hot tub was fantastic, the beds were comfortable, shower was hot, kitchen well stocked, and the view was beautiful! I was there with my sister for a “sisters weekend”. The only issue we had was that we were COLD!! There isn’t a binder with info- just some notes posted on the wall. It says the “climate” is to be kept at 60 degrees in the winter (temps were in the mid 40s to mid 30s) and they mean it! Thermostats are locked at 60 degrees! There is a beautiful gas fireplace in the living room but we were only able to get it to turn on a couple of times. Communication with the owner was spotty and we kept getting the same response as to turning the fireplace on. We did everything that was suggested but still froze. We were told that it would kick off when it reached 70 degrees but then it wouldn’t turn back on! The property owner did not do anything to remedy this so it was not warmer than 60 for most of the time we were there. That’s pretty cold to come into after being in the hot tub. We appreciated being notified that we could check in early! It really was a great place to stay! I just wish we could have had heat.

Pleasant Stay
We just stayed for the weekend but it was very nice and relaxing. Quiet neighborhood and about 15 minutes from town. They only thing that would have made it better was some games and an ironing board. The host were very responsive and pleasant to communicate with. Thanks for a great stay!

Cute hideway
This house was bigger than we thought. Very homely. There is many cute little extras touches they have put into place that I just love. I definitely would like to rent this cabin again.

This is a super nice property. 1 shower. Nice area/bedroom in basement. 2 bedrooms with 1 shared bathroom in loft area. Great view/lakefront & nice big deck.

Vacation
There is plenty of space for the whole family. Loved that there was a boat slip. Lake level was down so it was a little difficult to get boat on and off the slip. Hope to stay again.

A work in progress
The location is beautiful and quiet. The lake was calm & without a lot of traffic. The home was clean. We would say that the listing should show 2 bedrooms plus a loft, as the "master bedroom" does not have full privacy as it is completely open to the downstairs family room. The listing should note the only staircase to the basement is very steep and spiral. Usage of the basement door would be valuable, as it felt like it was living on a submarine trying to get all luggage downstairs. The boat was named by our kids the " SS Gonna Sink" as when we tried to utilize it there was a hole in the front of the boat. It appears that the owner has tried to patch the boat previously in several locations. The boat and oars (which one was nearly cracked in half) was completely unusable. The dock was nice and we were able to kayak of it. The grill on the deck was extremely dirty and most likely needs to be replaced,as there is rust and broken pieces on the flavor bars. The kitchen pots & pans/ kitchenware were a hodge podge of items. The right end front burner of the stove does not heat up very well. The screened in area was ripped all over and held up by PVC pipe and tape, it has seen better days and really does not keep the bugs out. The back gate did not exist on the deck. The owner has a nice piece of property and with a little more attention to detail and sprucing up inside and out this really could be a location that shines.

Beautiful Lake House
This cabin on the lake was more than we expected. Beautiful view of the lake from all windows and incredibly quiet area. Clean basement bedroom with 2nd living room along with a bonus room over the garage was perfect for separate spaces for kids to have their gaming systems set up out of the way and adults to have their space. Perfect place for friends to come and enjoy cooking out on a big deck with hot tub , fire pit, row boat, nice dock for kids to swim off. Great fishing, with 5 connected lakes. We had a blast! Small issue with the cleaning crew, bedding was not cleaned but the owner responded very quickly and all was good. We have stayed at a lot of vrbo's and this was great, highly recommended!

Family vacation
Beautiful location with beautiful view of the lake. Wonderful deck to enjoy the view. Our adult kids and their spouse/fiancé enjoyed the clean hot tub. It was great having a boat hoist on the pier for securing our boat. It would be good to have in the listing that the only indoor access to the lower level is a steep narrow spiral staircase for those traveling with young children or anyone with any disability. On arrival the lower level seemed like someone had left before finishing cleaning. The tables were full of dust and the floor needed sweeping. Laundry was undone in the washing machine, so I dusted and swept and did the laundry before the rest of our family arrived. The rest of the house was very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. Also for those with larger groups, just be aware there is only the one shower. All in all it was a good place to stay with our family and we all had a great time!

Awesome location but a few disappointments
Overall it was what we needed for our girls weekend. The owner answered questions in a timely manner and was able to graciously provide an early check in. However, there seemed to be a down side to every positive: The hot tub worked great, but desperately needed a cleaning (inside was slimy). The bedrooms/beds are as described, but the queen metal bedframe was very noisy/squeaky. House was spacious, but the listing is not clear that the stairwell leading to the basement is very narrow and not suitable for all ages/abilities. (I would personally not want to take my family with kids to stay downstairs by themselves). It had everything we needed, but the cleanliness was lacking. The security camera pointing straight at the hot tub was a bit of a privacy concern for us bunch of women. Plus side- view is gorgeous and it was a peaceful spot. Didn’t get to try out the lake or dock because of weather and the dock wasn’t in the water yet.

Relaxing Getaway
We loved the property and the views of the lake/nature. They wanted to have someone work on the basement while we were there which would have taken away from the privacy we wanted. Due to snow, that didn’t happen. Having a camera pointed at the hot tub made us a little uncomfortable. Overall we had a good time.

so close to what we were looking for
the location was spectacular! we rented the cabin for a girls weekend- searching specifically for a space in the woods with a hot tub and fireplace. we were a group of 5 with plenty of room. we had trouble getting the hot tub to temperature. the host told us to leave the cover on the tub (it was). it was posted that the instructions for the hot tub were in the basement: perhaps they got displaced during the remodel of the lower level? (we were notified of the work upon our arrival) it was a little dusty and there were ants in the lower level, maybe they were related to the remodel as well? they said someone would check the tub out- maybe they came while we ran into town, but we did not see them and the owner did not reply when asked if/when someone was coming. meanwhile, an internet search yielded that the hot tub filter may be the issue, so we tried that. it was really easy to clean! the milky bubbles cleared up, but the temp didn't improve. we later got an urgent message to stay out of the hot tub for the rest of our stay though they didn't say why aside from mentioning that they saw us clean the filter. the place is OK so long as you manage your expectations: the location is great, it’s large, the kitchen was organized & well stocked. if it was just a hub for a northwoods adventure, you can't go wrong! but if a hot tub is the main draw as it was for us, I would look elsewhere.

quiet place
lived up to its billing we came for the snow and were not disappointed. skiied and snowshoed everyday followed by a long soak in the hot tub. off the beaten path a bit and we loved eveu bit of it. daily sights of deer geese swans turkeys eagles blue jays and black squirrels made for the perfect experience.

Perfect Upnorth Getaway
This property was the perfect place for a weekend getaway. The check in process was very simple and Chris was wonderful to communicate with! The location and amenities were amazing, we utilized the hot tub both nights which was very relaxing despite the very cold weather. We would definitely recommend this place for either couples or families for a weekend away!

Beautiful home
We love this home the moment we walked in! Beautiful location and view! Very clean and cozy. We spent our time ice fishing, relaxing by the beautiful fireplace, and warming up from a long day in the hot tub. There wasn't any ice fishing gear available to use as listed but we had mostly what we needed. Also, we were never reimbursed for our pet deposit as we were told we would be. Overall, we had a wonderful time.

Thank you for the review. The ice fishing gear was available. It was in the small garage. (I should’ve mentioned that.) pet fee is on the way. I just needed to make sure there’s no damage.

Great home!
We really enjoyed our stay! Home was very clean and a very easy check in and out process. Everything that is needed is provided. The hot tub is great to relax in after a long day on the ice! We fished the moen lakes there and had great success. We would definitely stay there again!

The road less traveled
We were greeted to this beautiful hidden gem in the snow covered woods by three deer crossing the front yard. This homely cabin accommodated my large family offering plenty of space as well as a hot tub and access to the lake. The owners are quick to reply to any questions and were able to accommodate a convenient late check out for us. We are looking forward to our next stay.

One heck of a place!
I consider this place an amazing find for the price. It quickly felt like home, and we really enjoyed our stay. There are so many possibilities for activities and ways to relax here that I wish we could have spent more time. The cleanliness and responsiveness of the host was especially notable. This place is a wonderful Northwood stay, but definitely not for the mobility impaired.

Anniversary get away
It's a gorgeous house. But hot tub was 57 degrees I called owner he said he would get his hot tub guy on it. But didn't see him the whole time. My husband played with temperature gage and it started getting warmer. But didn't get warm enough till we were leaving.

Excellent Mini Honeymoon
My wife and I headed to Rhinelander for a mini honeymoon after a late autumn elopement. We brought our two dogs, one 12 pounds and one 90 pounds. The house and the property were amazing. The drive from the main road to the house is worth the trip alone. The house is beautiful inside and out. We found what we needed to cook a few meals. We went for a few hikes all around Rhinelander. We enjoyed the bar and grill at the end of the road! There was a windstorm while we were there. Some of the property was damaged but the owners were quick to respond and were very understanding. We made a lot of new memories here and hope to turn staying at this property into a bit of a tradition. FYI, the stairs are steep. It took the dogs a day or two to get brave. The noise from the water pump is not a big deal. I brought a white noise machine just in case...We did not need it.

Great Little Fall Get-Away
Great location and view for a fall get-away. If you're looking for a place close to the lake, look no further! Dog friendly as well so bring Fido along for the fun! The one thing that could be improved would be the instructions for entry into the property. We were able to get in but there were extra steps that were not needed. Other than that, property and hosts were great!

Fishing Excursion
Beautiful house and very comfortable. We booked our stay 8 months ago. Upon arrival, we found that the pier and boat lift were removed. We immediately called Chris because we brought our own boat to fish the lakes for the next five days. Chris apologized and offer a couple of options. One was a full refund and we were able to stay the night because it was too late in the day to return back to Milwaukee. We took the refund option and returned home. Since the pier and lift was removed without Chris' knowledge, his refund and one night stay was generous and we appreciated his understanding. I would sign up again but earlier in the Fall season.
