Once the Rec Hall at Shady Rush Lodge, this building has been completely transformed into a bright, welcoming 4-bedroom, 2.5-bath lakeside cottage on beautiful Manson Lake. It’s comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully set up for both relaxation and fun. The brand-new kitchen, updated appliances, cozy fireplace, and airy, open-concept living space make it easy to gather, reconnect, and unwind. Step out onto the large deck with your morning coffee and soak in peaceful water views.

Just outside your door, there’s a private basketball hoop, tennis court, and pickleball — plus plenty of space for kids to run around while adults relax with a drink in hand. The pristine beach is steps away, with crystal-clear waters perfect for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, or simply watching the sunset.

Our family has been coming to Shady Rush for over 20 years — a place filled with memories, laughter, and late-night card games. We weren’t ready to let it go when things changed, and we’re so grateful to keep a piece of it alive and share it with others.

Manson Lake spans 236 acres with a max depth of 54 feet and is known for its clear waters and diverse fish species, including musky, walleye, panfish, bass, and northern pike. There’s a public boat landing for easy access and a variety of underwater terrain for anglers, though caution is advised due to unmarked rock bars.

The cottage is equipped with air conditioning, and nearby towns like Tomahawk, Rhinelander, Minocqua, and Merrill offer local shops and dining if you’re in the mood to explore. Our private property is not open to the public, ensuring a truly tranquil getaway to relax, recharge, and experience the natural beauty of Manson Lake.
