“First time staying here and would definitely recommend it. Room was really clean and quiet and bed and pillows comfy. Easy walk to Westfield Riccarton and the university. If I’m needing to stay in Riccarton again I’ll be staying here.”

“We stayed overnight at Birches Motel as we had an early international flight out the next morning. The motel is in the middle of Reno’s and upgrading the rooms but we found our room to be perfect! Clean and comfortable which was just what we needed. Would happily stay there again! The shuttle picked us up at the airport which was great. No shuttle in the morning as we left at 5am but that was fine. Overall great overnight stay😊”

“The room was clean and well-equipped, with a jetted bathtub in the bathroom. When I asked about laundry facilities, the young woman in the office offered to do our laundry, washing and drying, for $10 per load. She did a great job on the laundry, completing the task very quickly. We found Amalfi Motor Lodge to be a quiet and comfortable place to stay.”

“I stayed here for 4 days and I can't speak highly enough of this motel the staff and owners were so friendly and helpful. The motel is centrally situated to almost every holiday highlight you want to see in Christchurch also so many restaurants and fast food outlets.”

“Overall we had a good stay at the motel. The room was clean, the staff were friendly, and the location was convenient. Most parts of the experience were smooth and enjoyable. The only major issue was the airport shuttle service. We paid $15 to book the 6am shuttle to the airport, but it never arrived. We waited until 6:30am with no communication or update from the motel. In the end, we had to book an Uber ourselves for a very similar price just to make our flight. What was most disappointing...

“Great being on site where you can have breakfast and tea. And the meals are really good. The only negaetive was tge heater in the room goes off every 2 hours. So can get quite cold overnight”
