“This hotel is outdated in the best possible way— it feels like going to a rich relative's house in the 90s. Ornate and stylish, lots of character to the place. Tub also had jets, which was a great surprise. Room had a fireplace, but it was summer so they had the gas turned off. Water cooler in the lobby (very hot weather when we stayed, so this saved us), they pay for your parking in the King Street garage, room had a small window A/C unit but it got the job done very well. “I stayed here for four nights. The room was clean and quiet. Quiet until the fourth day when a woman with a dog occupied the room beside me. She left the dog in the room for three hours and it barked non-stop. So, be prepared to hear your neighbor if you are unfortunate enough to have one who is inconsiderate. Otherwise, for the price, this hotel is worth the stay. There's several places to eat within a two to five minute walk.”

“The hotel is located by the lake in the centre of the town. Is the service attitude good, but its facilities are slightly better than those of a motel. I wonder why it is classified under IHG on the website.”

“Booked this motel twice now. Exceptionally clean room and property. The people who own and run the motel are very friendly and helpful. I like that you park your vehicle in front of your room and it’s very affordable to stay here. Very quiet as it’s just outside Port Hope, but all amenities are within a 5-10 minute drive.”
