Questa cabina si trova sul pittoresco fiume Shenandoah a pochi minuti da Luray, in Virginia. Una passeggiata attraverso il cortile ti porta alla tua riva privata fornita di canoe e pozzo del fuoco. Nota: NON PUOI VEDERE IL FIUME DALLA CASA. A causa della pianura alluvionale nella zona, tutte le case lungo questo lato del fiume sono costruite di nuovo dal bordo del fiume. C'è un grande cortile tra la casa e il fiume e non si vede l'acqua da dove si trova la casa. Lasciamo le canoe sul bordo del fiume in modo da non doverle portare avanti e indietro. WINTER REVIEW: Location was convenient to Luray Caverns and Shenandoah national park. Cabin was cozy and the Christmas decor was a nice touch- felt very homey and lived in! Beds were comfortable if you are sleeping solo or for kids but when my husband and I both layed in the bed we rolled to the middle like a taco (I don't think the frame is offering the right support). I would also recommend bringing your own pillows. Otherwise, well stocked with towels, extra bedding, kitchen supplies, etc. We loved the hot tub and access to the river was a football field walk across the yard and so beautiful! From the cabin itself there are no window views of mountains or the river. The best view is sitting on the porch by the hot tub and it was lovely watching the sun set. The wood provided was wet so we were unable to use it but there was plenty of burnable wood we were able to scavenge from the woods to utilize the firepit! Great stay for a quick winter getaway!

The home was clean. There were a few things that need attention but they didn’t get in our way of enjoying our stay. Pros: The neighborhood was quiet, fireplace and hot tub were great, we seen plenty of deer, and it wasn’t far from places to go. Cons: the beds were uncomfortable and noisy, the bottom oven didn’t work, and there wasn’t enough wood for 2 nights and a fire outside. The note on the fridge to call for more wood was camouflaged with all the other notes and we didn’t see it until Sunday. Overall it was a nice stay. I feel the cons stood out enough for me to note, but not enough to ruin our stay.

Good stay for short getaway

Overall the stay was nice. The game room was definitely a favorite for the teens. The walk down to the river was a easy gentle walk. I was just disappointed that I could not see the "view" from the living room due to the orientation of the house. We visited in December and it was to cold to sit on the porch.

Great stay!

This was a really nice stay, and fit the bill for our crew. The fireplace and firepit were great, and the walk down the property to the water was beautiful. There were a few things that seemed like they needed some attention though. Both screen/storm doors didn’t latch easily, which means they banged around in the wind. The hot tub was great, but likely needs more regular cleaning. The beds were also VERY squeaky and creaky in both rooms, and blinds in multiple windows were messed up. That said, would stay here again. The living spaces were great, and the host was super responsive throughout our stay.

Cute but...

My husband and I wanted a secluded cabin in the woods for a weekend birthday getaway. We chose this place based on the reviews and the pictures. So, I feel the need to write this review. The deck and front screen door are in need of repair. The door hangs open and I'm guessing that's why there are so many stinks bugs, dead and alive, in the home. The hot tub did not work, it took my husband an hour to get it going. A not so handy person might not have such luck. The beds were so uncomfortable, I did not sleep. Even the couch was worn down and uncomfortable. Lastly, the lawn was very high. It probably wasn't cut for a while. I know these things might have been remedied if I reached out, but these parents wanted privacy for the little time we had away. All in all, we made the best of it. Just happy to be together, but it was the first time I was disappointed in VRBO rental. And we've used these services a lot.

First time with VRBO

I think it was great to dip our toe in the water. This was way better than staying at a hotel. However, there were somethings, now that I know what to look for, that will inform me next time I VRBO. Specifically, proximity to amenities, activities and the condition of the house. All in all a positive experience and good value for money. Especially the service support.

Beautiful spot in the River

This is house nestled right into the Shenandoah Valley was so cozy and beautiful. Our dogs loved the run down to the water , a perfect spot for all us to stretch our legs and kick off vacation with some relaxation. The fire pit outback was just right for enjoying the spring evenings and the porch was the perfect place for morning coffee and catching glimpses of the deer roaming through the yards .

Over all... Good Stay

The outside of the house could use some TLC. When we pulled up, I was a little worried. Once inside, it's a whole other story. The home is comfortable, clean, and I LOVED the different decor (Classic Hollywood stars pictures), some bear themes and a little mix here and there. The couches are so comfortable, you actually fall asleep.... We had no cell reception (we have 5G with Verizon) BUT, the wi-fi worked and there is a house phone if needed. This is in a "country" subdivision so be aware that you have neighbors. There are trees lined on each side of the house, however, they did not provide a whole lot of privacy. We steered clear of the hot tub because it is on the front porch and the neighbors on that side are a bit close. Overall, if you aren't looking for seclusion and quiet, this is a great spot. We did enjoy our stay,

Weekend getaway

This place was exactly what we wanted/needed for a peaceful weekend getaway. The property was well equipped and clean. There was so much to do just inside the house it was hard to get bored. Loved walking to the river and sitting by the fire pit in the backyard. The hot tub was a huge hit. Location was great, secluded but not too far from stores. Would definitely book again.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

We had a wonderful long weekend away at Bear Bluff. The house had something for everyone. My mom enjoyed reading on the screened in porch and my kids loved canoeing on the river. The area is simply amazing, we hiked and saw some beautiful waterfalls and drove along Skyline Drive. On the last night we ended our stay with gathered around the fire pit! It was really a wonderful experience.

Spring Break Getaway

We did not want to leave! My 4 year old had a full blown meltdown in our last few minutes before departure and tried to plant herself on the couch. The property was absolutely beautiful. We got so lucky with perfect Spring weather. We enjoyed a picnic by the river every day, and lounged by the fire in the evenings. The only improvement would be to work on the side and back doors as they are difficult to use.

THE GETAWAY GETAWAY

We will definitely be coming here again! Far away enough for privacy, close enough for activities and amenities. This is the best experience we have had so far. The river was gorgeous, hot tub was inviting, fireplace romantic, and game room was fun!Everything is exactly as described. Questions were answered promptly and professionally. Excellent getaway for couples or family.

Shenandoah Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at Bear Bluff. The property is close to lots of great trails and has lots to do - ping pong, darts, billiards, canoeing, or just relaxing in the hot tub.
