Beautifully restored in the original Sardinian style, this vacation home offers you and your family the ultimate 'getaway'.
It is located in the quaint village 'Riola Sardo', within a short drive from some of the most spectacular beaches in the Mediterranean. Mari Ermi and Is Arutas with their white quartz sands and aquamarine waters are particularly enchanting.
With a fully fitted kitchen; one room with 2 single beds/double bed and bathroom; one bedroom with a double bed and shower/bathroom; a gallery/tv area and a living room with fireplace this holiday home provides you the perfect position from where to sample the delights of Sardinia. Free wireless internet is also available.
Take advantage of the cultivated, enclosed garden with two large shaded verandas for an evening bbq and outside dining. Feel free to sample some of the lemons, oranges, persimmons and pomegranates from our fruit trees!


The village: The village is situated in the most central position on the west coast of the island, which makes it possible to reach every remote sardinian spot on a daily trip basis. There is everything!! pasticceria, bank, pizzeria, butcher, grocery, weekly market, supermarket, hardware shop, computer shop, post office...
In Riola you can avail of delicious home made pastries for breakfast ,artisan ice-cream, home made liquors (the 'Finocchietto Sardo' is a 'must try'!) and locally produced oil and wine (Vernaccia).

Getting there: Arriving at either Cagliari, Olbia or Alghero airports you can reach the motorway SS131. Close to Oristano, look for the exit 'TRAMATZA SOLARUSSA' then follow the signs to SAN VERO MILIS. Once in SAN VERO MILIS follow the signs to PUTZU IDU and then RIOLA. From CAGLIARI Airport it takes approx 90mins, from OLBIA just over 2 hours and from ALGHERO (via SASSARI) 2 hours.
For the scenic route from Alghero Airport just follow the coast road in the direction of Oristano via Bosa. To enjoy the trip allow at least 3 hours time!

Liebevoll hergerichtete Ferienwohnung, alles vorhanden. Garten sehr nett und mit Schatten. Im Dorft gibt es fußläufig alles - wer mehr auswahl will, kann am Dorfeingang auch einen großen Conard besuchen. Gut gelegen, um zu den Stränden und Ausgrabungsstätten zu kommen.

À recommander !Maison dans le village très calme avec des petits commerces et restaurants à proximité, bien aménagée, spacieuse et avec une très bonne literie. Très bon accueil de Serena, aucun problème de communication. De très belles plages à 15-20mn de la location. Très agréable séjour.

Tranquil beautiful place to stay

We enjoyed 7 days in this lovely house and garden. It’s close to many beaches and some nice restaurants. The house itself is really well designed and has 2 external seating areas with garden views. The garden is beautifully planted with thyme, lavender, agapanthus, lantana and other plants. It’s a pleasure to sit and listen to the birds with your morning coffee. The village is quiet and the locals are all very helpful.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft in erholsamer Umgebung

Das Haus liegt sehr gut in Riola Sardo mit der wunderbaren Sinis-Halbinsel direkt vor der Tür. Der Garten ist fantastisch, wir haben dort gerne unsere Zeit verbracht. Das Haus hat alles, was man so braucht. Geschäfte und Restaurants sind in Laufnähe. Vermieter und Verwalterin waren jederzeit verfügbar und ausgesprochen freundlich.

Liebevoll saniertes Häuschen mit schönem Garten

Wir haben uns in diesem Ferienhaus sehr wohl gefühlt. Sehr schön waren die zwei individuell eingerichteten Schlafzimmer mit eigenem Bad. In der Küche hat es an nichts gefehlt und der Garten mit seinen Granatapfel- und Limettenbäumen ist wunderschön. Von hier aus kann man die wunderschönen Strände Sardiniens sehr gut erkunden.

Ein Schmuckstück

Das Haus ist ein wunderschön eingerichtetes, super ausgestattetes Schmuckstück, an das sich ein gepflegter Garten anschließt. Ganz in der Nähe sind ein kleiner Supermarkt, eine Pizzeria und eine fantastische pasticceria. Schöne Strände sind cs. 12 km entfernt. Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert!! Vielen Dank auch an die Gastgeber für die vielen hilfreichen Informationen bereits im Vorfeld unserer Reise!

Beautiful house in wonderful location

We have just returned from a fantastic 11 nights at this wonderful property. The house has everything you need and feels so comfortable. The garden is beautiful and ideal to enjoy day or night. The location is so close to some amazing beaches, a brilliant holiday! We loved Putzu Idu, Sa Mesa Longa, Mari Ermi and Roca Tunda. Don't forget to try out the baker's in Riola too!

Sehr schön restauriertes Refugium mit tollem Garten und an der wilden Westküste Sardiniens gelegen

Wir hatten als Familie mit 2 Kindern einen tollen Aufenthalt im Riola Sardo. Das Häuschen entpuppte sich als ein kleines restauriertes Refugium, in dem es uns an nichts mangelte. Selbst sonst immer so vermisste Küchenhelfer waren vorhanden. Die Liebe zum Detail ist auch im Garten sichtbar geworden. Tolle Sträucher, Blumen und Sitzecken lassen ein immer wieder gern zurückkehren. Rialo Sardo ist ein quirliger Ort, der idealer Ausgangspunkt für die vielen tollen selbst in der Hochsaison einsamen Strände der Umgebung ist. Die Gastgeber sind auch sehr rührig und Serena die Betreuerin vor Ort ist ganz große Klasse. Es gab jede Menge tolle Tipps zum Essen und einige haben wir genutzt. Wir freuen uns schon auf ein Wiederkommen!

Very nice property redone in authentic local style

Very nice stay in a very nice house with plenty of place and proper equipment in the kitchen, bathroom and air conditioning in the rooms. A very lovely garden where you can enjoy your meals in the shade. Rioja is a little town that needs discovery : nice Pasteria, butcher, and locals are friendly and helpful.

Ideal location and relaxing...

Beautiful house with everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable holiday. We felt at home as soon as we arrived - warmly greeted by Serena who was on hand if needed. Lots of beautiful beaches that were close, making it easy to visit a different one each time. We visited Bosa, Oristano and Cagliari - again, all very easy to get to. Lovely friendly locals, with good food shops and cafes in the village. A large supermarket/shopping centre is 15 mins away by car. Absolutely loved our stay here - could not have wished for better or more. Thank you for making it such a little gem 😊. Pete, Sara, Josh and Tig 🐾

Beautiful in every way

My family and I spent two wonderful weeks in this house. It had everything we needed . It was spotlessly clean , beds very comfortable , wonderful hot outside shower , beautiful garden , really was a fantastic stay . Just 10 minutes by car to the most amazing beaches , fantastic cake shop in the villlage which is just too good to miss ! I wouldn't hesitate recommending this beautiful accommodation . A real treasure .

A wonderful stay!

We, a family of 4, had a wonderful stay in the house "La Taratuga d'Oro". The house is in perfect condition with everything you might need. It is very well situated in a nice village close to some of the best beaches in West Sardinia. We hope to come back again in the future!

Haus und Garten: ein Bijou

Das frisch renovierte Haus im beschaulichen Dorf Riola Sardo ist wirklich ein Bijou. Die Zimmer sind stil- und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, das Haus als Ganzes sehr konfortabel. Die Besitzer (Claire und Sergio) nahmen sich den typisch sardischen Stil als Vorbild. Es verfügt über eine gut eingerichtete Küche (es ist wirklich alles da!), bequeme Sitzmöglichkeiten und für jedes Schlafzimmer eine Nasszelle. Der Garten lädt zum Verweilen ein, verfügt über mehrere Sitzplätze und auch eine Aussendusche (kaltes und warmes Wasser!). Für Reisende steht viel Literatur über die sardische Kultur und die Sehenswürdigkeiten zur Verfügung, wir konnten ausgiebig profitieren. Dass kein Fernsehempfang möglich war, haben wir gar begrüsst. Wer will, kann sich Informationen über Internet besorgen (WLAN steht zur Verfügung): Serena, die uns empfangen hat, ist eine liebenswerte, hilfsbereite, unkomplizierte Person. Das Dorf selbst bietet genügend Einkaufsmöglichkeiten: kleiner Supermercato, Metzgerei, Bäckereien, Pasticceria (sehr zu empfehlen), Bars und eine herrlich typische Pizzeria mit ausgezeichneten Pizze. Alles in allem waren wir rundum zufrieden und glücklich. Für uns bis heute die beste Erfahrung mit Ferienwohnungen.

Liebevoll eingerichtetes Gartenhäuschen im Dorf

Wir (4 Erw.) fanden (Mitte September) alles so wie im Inserat beschrieben. Das Haus war in einwandfreiem Zustand, der Garten wundervoll und gepflegt. Die Informationen von Claire waren zutreffend, die Schlüsselübergabe unproblematisch und der Empfang vor Ort perfekt. Die Umgebung ist ländlich geprägt, wer Ruhe sucht, ist hier richtig. Kann das Haus uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Schönes Haus mit Garten

Das Haus ist komplett renoviert. Es liegt im Ort Riola Sardo. Der Ort ist klein, es gibt einige Läden, einen kleinen Supermarkt, Bäcker, etc. Die schönen Strände sind schnell erreichbar. Das Haus hat alles , was man so braucht. Der Garten hat einige Früchte zu bieten und die Terasse ist auch wunderbar. Schade ist, das es kein Sateliten/Kabel TV gibt, so das man nur einen schlechten italienischen Empfang hatte. Ansonsten hatten wir einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Die Verwalterin Serena hat sich super um uns gekümmert und uns einige Tipps mit auf den Weg gegeben.

Das Haus ist ganz toll renoviert. Es liegt im sehr ruhigen Örtchen Riola Sardo. Tolle Strände sind gut erreichbar. Die Küstenstrasse nach Alghero ist atemberaubend. Auch die Fahrt zum Montiferru war sehr schön. Bosa ist ebenfalls ein Ausflug wert. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Claire und die Verwalterin Serena haben sich super um uns gekümmert und uns einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt beschert.
