“We very much enjoyed staying here. We had the mother in law suite part of the house which was more than adequate for our needs. We loved the historic home aspect to the site. Everything was clean and in order, owner was quick to respond to anything we conveyed to them, and it was lovely being the only ones staying at the house at the time.
This was the first time we've used a VRBO property and it was a great experience. We highly recommend this rental, and would stay here again. Thank you so...

“Perfect house for a group of 7 adults. Lots of comfy seating inside and out on the deck and dock. Well stocked with oil, spices, etc. Master bed was very comfortable. Other beds were OK. Dock area is small and not deep water. That didn't matter to us since we went in September. Wifi was very slow but we had 5 people trying to work so more our fault than the house. Overall, an excellent Lake Gaston rental. ”

Communication with the host was excellent from start to finish- clear, prompt, and very helpful. They were also very flexible and accommodating, which made our stay even more enjoyable. “This property should be removed from Vrbo’s listings. As other reviews have stated, the rental is filthy, full of broken furniture/appliances, and has several unsafe areas. We spent the first day and a half of our stay, cleaning the place. It is clear that this property has not been inspected or maintained for cleanliness in a long time. This is not the result of one careless guest. This is complete neglect.The home has cobwebs, stuck on grease, dirt buildup, bugs, and mold in multiple areas....
