“Enjoyed a family weekend for a destination wedding at Hitching Post. Cottage was perfect with all amenities we needed. Out in the country, able to find some time to relax by the fire pit. We really enjoyed Lancaster which was a 15-20 drive.”

“Nice cabin with private lake. Grass was cut to waters edge making fishing easy. All you need for two and your pet. Cozy setup with all you need.”

We appreciated the driving instructions sent before he d because there’s absolutely no service at the house. We would definitely stay again.”

“This was super cute and cozy, we wanted to get away for weekend anniversary and not kill the bank account. Very quiet relaxing, little trail behind it was nice as well. We had 2 small dogs and was great for them as well. James was very quick to respond when needed something or asked questions. Next time we stay gonna try out the Skoolie!.”

“The property was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. After a long day of hiking, we enjoyed soaking in the hot tub. The cabin is about 20-25 minutes to many trails at the state park. I would definitely stay here again.”

“It was a perfect weekend to celebrate a birthday. The snow really topped the weekend off. We went to Hocking Hills to hike, stopped and got coffee at the local shop and enjoyed the hot tub.”

“We had family of 6 with ages from 5-81 years and one very old weiner dog. Fishing was amazing.There are some really large bass in the pond but you have to give them what they want. Our lips are sealed so good luck! Spent most of the time on the deck as it is so peaceful. Heard my first deer snort and it isn't what you would expect. My hubby is a life long hunter so he knew. Otherwise, I would have been thinking Bigfoot lived on that property. LOL. Whippoorwills are also new to the fam. Birds at...

“Nice country cottage. Good distance from tourist attractions and country enough for a quiet retreat when done exploring. Would stay again.”

“This please was great. My only advice would be to bring beach towels for the hot tub. The closest hiking was Rockhouse and it was nice. We took the kids with us (ages 3,6,and9).”

“The property inside and out was amazing and beautiful. Very clean inside open and beautifully decorated. No outages no issues everything worked. The pond was nice has bluegill and a few bass. We will definitely be staying here again when we come down. When they say full equipped kitchen I'm used to that meaning a fridge, stove and a coffee pot so we packed for what we thought we needed. You don't need plates cups pans pots utensils they provide it all which was awesome!”

“The house looks just like the pictures. Renovated using high quality materials. Road to access was steep however owners let us know ahead of time and recommended alternate routes. Plenty of room for 4. Close to town and trails of Hocking Hills.”

“We did a weekend stay, all adults. The rooms were nice, beds were comfortable. Only disappointment was the grill didn't work and the food stuck to the pans when we cooked. Home is located down the street from a small grocery store which was super convenient, and if we had wanted fast food it was close by as well. Nice home, good hosts.”

“The host is super responsive and the unit is super clean and very thoughtful of its visitors. I say this because there’s so many amenities that other hosts do not think of, 1 being extra phone chargers. I will say people with bad knees, please be prepared for a Mount Everest of a hike because lorrrrrd those stairs. Whew! We will absolutely return to this town again and will be staying here again. Thank you!”

“Laikyns Lodge is an amazing home on a beautiful sprawling property. It is a beautiful, huge log home with quality everywhere. Amazing indoor and outdoor spaces. The warm indoor pool kept 5 kids (and their parents) busy. The walk from the pool to the outdoor hot tub was cold but well worth it. On clear nights, the fire pit is a great gathering spot. When it rained, we all moved to the outdoor wood burning fireplace on the massive covered deck. All in, Laikyns was first rate. We will definitely...
