“Great location in central Ambleside ”

“Very average. Overall a nice pub area. Checkin was rushed. No parking nearby and confusing as to which car parks allowed overnight parking. Carpets were filthy and didn't look like they had been hoovered in a week. Breakfast was fine. ”

“could have been better if staff are more polite. it seemed they dont like their job. toilet where we stayed in shower is really tight in space”

“Lovely property with lake views, interesting walk down to main hotel for meals but do have to be careful crossing the road, main route so quite busy”

“Parking space, food available all day, lake across the road, walking distance to the village, excellent helpful staff.”

“The rooms were luxuriously furnished and the hotel overall is very cosy and welcoming. Staff couldn;t do enough to help and the attention to detail was fantastic, everything from bags for walking boots to fresh milk on the landing for in room tea and coffee. A bottle of speciality beer in the room was a bonus.”

“Ambience, staff and food were AOK. The room was OK except that bed was uncomfortable, cloaks were inadequate and sink was too small.”
