"We spent four comfortable days in the lovely self-contained apartment above Carol and Philip’s home. The two bedrooms were well appointed with plenty of hangars in the closets, heating that we were able to adjust ourselves on a couple very cool nights, and views onto their beautiful garden. "This was absolutely what we wanted, a nice quiet place - the garden is so big it felt like our own secluded woodland. Nice countryside nearby - try Cleres, Pavilly, and the wooded valleys locally. Rouen's a short drive, lots of other charming places only a little further away.. If you don't speak any French I expect Sandrine's enthusiasm and welcoming approach will still sail through the language barrier. Loved it."

"The house is a large, beautiful gite with everything we required for our stay; good facilities, clean and a well maintained pool on a daily basis. The property is situated on a hill side allowing for unspoilt scenery in the sunshine. The owners were incredibly helpful, had very speedy responses and allowed us to book on the day! Keen to meet our needs on arrival and could be contacted throughout the stay. Pavilly, a small town is 4km in distance with a supermarket, garage, pharmacy etc....

"We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful property in an outstanding area. You do need a car to get anywhere though as the village is much further than we thought. We would highly recommend the restaurant in Val-deSaane. However, we have one major complaint. On arrival we had to pay 300 Euros for a security deposit which is not written in any paperwork - it left us very short of cash for our holiday. Can someone explain to us what would happen if we travelled cashless as a lot of people now do ?...

"What a lovely quiet place to stay & relax with many forest walks close by. Within walking distance of the beautiful St Martin de Boscherville Abbey & village that has a small Boulangerie, Boucherie & a restaurant which serves food at lunch times only. Fresh vegetables are available from the local farm market just 200m away from the property. Thank you Elizabeth & Jean Christian for being wonderful hosts."

"The host was very nice and welcoming. We asked for a couple of recommendations of restaurants and places to visit and we had a list waiting for us when we arrived. :) We also needed some hangers and the host brought some the next day as well as a new drying rack. The place was very clean, spacious and well equipped. The area is very quiet and not far from Honfleur and Deauville/Trouville. We would definitely stay there again."

It's great for small kids in particular, as you have a private yard with a playground and sand pit. "This house was, for us, perfect in every way. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable and had everything that we wanted or needed. We found the house and garden to be very peaceful Francoise was the perfect host. She made us feel very welcome and suggested several places to visit.
