“We had no heat all day Sunday when it was single digits outside. I asked where the thermostat was at noon and got excuses all day. At 4:00 I sent a message saying that we'd give them one hour and then we'd have to leave as it was freezing cold. Finally, at 6 p.m. someone showed up to turn on the heat in the downstairs apartment where it had been turned off by the tenants who had moved out suddenly. The property manager tried to blame me for not getting back with him to tell him we hadn't closed...

“Kolanjo was a wonderful host. He is very responsive and quickly answered any questions we had and made sure we had everything we needed. The property is very close to the Big House-- you can actually see it from out in front of the apt building, which was great given we were going to a game the weekend we were visiting. The apartment itself was ample size for me, my husband and daughter. My daughter's bedroom had a code on the door allowing one to either make the apt a two bedroom or one...

“To be clear, we were happy with our stay, this charming studio apartment exceeded our expectations and we will return. The record player and books in lieu of TV is a nice touch. However, there is some room for improvement. The location is great but it comes with late night college revelers so earplugs are provided, but the noise did not bother us, a few simple patches here and there, add a few more good classic records and some relevant local literature, a guide book or two on the book...

“This is a fantastic place to stay in Ann Arbor. Pictures do not do the apartment justice; it was clean, attractive, and well-furnished with everything we could have needed (e.g. extra towels and blankets, water and snacks upon arrival, etc.). Parking was easy - there is a reserved spot in the back - and the location is walking distance from the shops on Main Street (15-25 mins), campus (20-30 minutes), and Kerrytown/farmer's market/Zingerman's deli (8-10 mins), where we had breakfast each...

“Very cool property, clean and spacious. I was surprised there was no hair dryer and disappointed, although not surprised, that there was no tea. Positive experience overall.”

“I liked the layout”

“The property was listed as two beds. There is one bed that is more like a full size cot; not really appropriate for two adults. The other bed that is listed is an air mattress that is offered by request. I don’t consider that a real bed when renting a rather expensive place to stay. Other things to note is you have to pick up the key to the place in a lock box that is nearly two miles away, which isn’t convenient - particularly on busy weekends. Also, there was quite a bit street noise...
