Alamo Heights Charmer

My spouse and I had a lovely stay at this retro home. I loved the tile floors throughout the house. It has a sunken living room and lots of windows in the house. The decor is American/Texas and may feel a little over decorated. As mentioned in a previous review the showers do have a ledge to step over which is not an issue. I am 4 months post having torn an ACL and it was not a problem for me to get into the shower; the shower has excellent water pressure and heat in the Master bath. The master bedroom bed was comfortable. There is a large yard, however it is not fenced so I would not feel comfortable allowing small children or dogs to roam freely. We liked that there was covered parking. The host is extremely communicative. Clean up and check out was easy. This location is very safe and convenient to a lot of what downtown SA has to offer. It is a home that feels lived in and not professionally managed like some VRBO properties.

Great little house

Great little house in a great neighborhood. Close to everything we need to be close to on our visit. Our host, Marek was unbelievably friendly and helpful while we were in town. We will rent there again the next time we are in SA. One thing to note, there are steps in the house, also the showers have a rather tall step to go over, it is something to consider if you are challenged by steps. It was not an issue for us.

Christmas Vacation

Just like the movie we had lots of family coming into town and not enough beds. This house is in the perfect location and the owner was super helpful and easy to work with. Lots of room in this house for 6, and photos listed are true to life.

Quick stay

Great home for a quick overnight stay in San Antonio. Close to airport, downtown and convenient to highways. Comfortable beds and home. Marek was very accommodating to us and we loved all the things to look at in his home. Definitely the type of place to stay if you are looking for an authentic Texas home experience.

Wonderful stay

A wonderful stay with green surroundings. The property is beautifully decorated with a lot of antiques. The Host Marek was prompt in his replies and friendly too. Would surely recommend this property for a group of 6 or even more.

Everything you need

Only draw back was no place to let my dogs run outside! Inside was very pet friendly! Had hook up leashes to take dogs out to use restroom. Other than this small inconvenience the place is really neat.

Great experience

The host was very communicative from start to finish. The neighborhood is amazing and the home is lovely. Very eclectic, which I loved because that’s my style. I usually feel slightly uncomfortable no matter where I’m staying when I travel but i didn’t feel that way at all during this trip. Everything felt like care was taken to make sure it was clean. I must give a special shout-out to the floors. Yes, the floors. lol In other short terms I’ve stayed, it’s impossible to walk two minutes barefoot in them without your feet turning black. This did not happen this time. The cleaning crew actually takes the time to mop the floors and it shows. Thank you!! We would definitely stay again!

Home away from Home

The house is an older model, but it has all the accommodations needed. They had a small journal where everyone who has stayed can write a little note on why they were staying in San Antonio how many days and what kind of adventures they did. I thought it was awesome loved reading it gave me some ideas on my next stay in San Antonio
