To begin, the parking was terrible. I needed handicapped parking but there was only 1 handicapped space which was next to 3 spaces for Diamond members only, and all other parking was down a hill. It was free but I had to walk up the hill every time I parked.
When I checked in and was given my room key I made my way to my room, but the card said to at my phone was now my room key and I needed to open and use my Hilton Honors app. I have the app but couldn’t get it open and was trying to change my password but still couldn’t sign in. I called the front desk and explained the problem and asked the employee who checked me in if he could send someone to assist me but he didn’t want to do that. By this time I had been standing outside my room with my belongings on a cart for about 15 minutes and was very frustrated. After a few minutes more I called the front desk again and asked to speak to the manager. The same employee asked me why and I said angrily because I couldn’t get into my room and he said he would send someone right up. A maintenance was sent up and when he got there he took my room card and used it to open my room. He said that was all I needed to do. I felt angry and stupid. Why didn’t the guy at the front desk just tell me that the first time I spoke with him??
