The Orange House- In the Heart of San Diego

Spread out in a covered outdoor space with everything from a full dining table to a fireplace. Inside, each room has its own theme and color scheme, while the home as a whole is full of little luxuries, plus the orange accents that give it its name. Since we are almost always 100% booked, we can’t offer earlier checking-in times. Check-in time is anytime after 3 pm. Same day booking checking-in time is 5:30 pm. Cleaning crew needs the time between 10am-3pm to perform the deep cleaning in preparation for your arrival. We also don’ t have any facility to store luggage prior to check in.

We loved this house it looks exactly as posted. It was very clean. The neighborhood was safe. For a big group the refrigerator was a little small but we had an ice chest. We had groceries for 2 meals & drinks for 2 1/2 days & it was full The other issue was the seating in the living room there were 6 of us but there is only seating for 3 people. Still I’m rating it highly because it was clean, and comfortable. If we’re ever in the area I would book it again

Cute little place

I chose this property because it had enough bedrooms and beds for us. The bedding was clean with very soft sheets. The neighborhood was quiet, and we enjoyed our stay. A suggestion would be to add another sofa to the living room because there is only seating for four people in there. Another suggestion would be to replace the outdoor cushions because they are too thin to be comfortable and worn. The house presents as quite cute, but I would say that things are not in as good of condition as the photos suggest. The kitchen is fairly well stocked, but I would also suggest leaving more than one kitchen towel to be used. Two would’ve been nice and I laundered the one we used a couple of times. I would also suggest leaving a few more bath towels. What was supplied was adequate, but it would’ve been nice to have maybe three or four more. I laundered those as well. The house came with just about everything you need, but bring extra paper towels and bring some napkins because it was only one roll of paper towels provided. We were a party of five.We had some safety issues with some exposed rusty nails, and screws in the Astroturf in the backyard and exposed rebar in several places along the side of the driveway that must have held up a previous fence. I sent a message to the owners and they quickly sent over their handyman who took care of the situation. There were plug-in air fresheners in every bedroom and we removed them as we are sensitive to them. We put them back at the end

Very nice!

This property was very clean and in a fantastic location close to everything. Quiet neighborhood and comfortable bedrooms. Would have easily been a 10 if more comfortable living room seating was added. Outdoor cushions also desperately need to be replaced. Thank you for a great stay!

The Orange House was by far the best place we have been so far. It was super clean and cozy. The backyard was so clean and relaxing. I gotta say, the bbq grill maintenance and cleanness said it all.

Not bad, but not amazing

The property was not necessarily bad but for the price we paid, we expected a little more. Based on the photos, the house looked very luxurious. However, the furniture seemed extremely dated and cheap. We selected this home with the intention of hosting a big family gathering, yet the living room had a very awkward placement and could not even sit more than 4 people. The sofa was absolutely uncomfortable and as were the bed and pillows. The backyard was nice I am unsure what purpose it would serve given all the strict rules the host provided. I suggest updating the furniture in the home to make it worth the price it was listed at.

Not exactly as expected

The house was OK. We were a bit disappointed because the house is definitely more run down than the pictures would lead you to believe. It appears very well used and hasn’t been kept up all that great. I don’t need to go into details but for the price per night we were not too impressed.

Great space—great value.

We thoroughly enjoyed this spacious 4 bedroom home. Every area was decorated in a trendy look that added that special touch. As an added bonus, the covered patio area, fenced year and oversized grill was truly outdoor living.

Another great stay at this property!

Tucked in a quiet neighborhood, yet close to plenty of retail, eateries, and Kaiser hospital, this was our second stay in this lovely, modern home! Clean, plenty of room to stretch out and relax. Loved the sunny outside porch! Good parking, very nice patio/backyard. Loved the gas stove! Kitchen nicely stocked. Very good communication with owners. No problems. Thumbs up!!!

Beautiful House/ Great Location / Very Clean

We booked this house to bring all our family together for the holidays. The location was right in the middle of San Diego. 15 min to everywhere. The house was very clean I loved how it was decorated. Not a lot of indoor living room seating but we made it work for our group.

Great Stay!

Great house, nice spacious rooms, good beds, pillows could be better, everything is in excelent conditions, having coffee pods available is a real plus! Hosts are attentive. Having 2 bathrooms for 4 bedrooms is a stretch but manageable. Overall very good location, quiet neighborhood and comfortable.

Perfection!

The Maison Orange is magnifique! Honestly, everything about it is perfect. The location was great. The house is SO beautifully designed, updated and comfortable. It was absolutely spotless and smelled clean and pleasant.

Great stay for SDSU Family weekend

Great stay- 2bathrooms so make sure your family can share! Was surprised by stairs to master- not an issue with our group, the 3rooms on ground level and 4th master bedroom on 2nd/upper level with stairs was fine to share - just be aware Great communication with host and location was perfect for our visit to sdsu and property was clean - also would recommend a love seat for the living room! Thank you! We would stay there again!

San Diego trip

We came for a weekend family trip. This house was very clean and had everything that was needed. The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary items. Could have used more bathroom towels but there was a washer and dryer available to wash them. The owner provided very detailed instructions on what/how to do things. We just wish we could have enjoyed the house more but there were so many things to see/do while in San Diego.

Lovely home

As advertised

Rental car recommended, but from there close to a lot of fun activities and necessities such as the airport. The house itself is like in the pictures, clean, spacious and comfortable. Hosts are responsive and reliable.
