Was a wonderful experience. Concierges/staff really elevated the stay and the 24hour security was an extra comfort, especially as a solo female traveller. I felt everyone I interacted with took amazing care in what they did. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the private balcony with hammock was amazing for rainy weather. I would highly recommend the hotel.

Small boutique hotel in a great location, walkable to the main town area with the market and other shops/restaurants. Very kind staff and nice rooms. Hopefully they will expand in the future and offer food options.

The direct surroundings are not very astonishing, but the Hotel itself and the rooms are squeaky clean, the beds comfortable and the terrace invites to stay for a coffee (from the coffee shop right below the hotel) or for a beer, which one can buy in the small bar onsite. Furthermore the small "boulevard" with lots of restaurants, bars and shops is nearby. We were received very friendly and provided several recommendations what to do/where to go during our stay. Given the heat of May, the small refridgerator in the room and the free (cold!) water dispenser were a big plus compared to many other hotels.

Safe, clean and very friendly staff. A great downtown spot with walking distance to restaurants. The only downside is no pool but there are plenty of hotels nearby that will do day passes for the pool.

VERY PROFESSIONAL AND ACCOMMODATING. THE ROOM WAS CLEAN. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HIDDEN GEM. THE LOCATION IS GREAT BECAUSE WE COULD EASILY WALK TO THE LOCAL ATTRACTIONS AND RESTAURANTS.

Great surprise of a little place in the heart of San Ignacio the rooms are large, very clean and the staff is very helpful. Only wish the coffee shop opened before 8:00. A.m.! Highly recommend!

This is a beautiful little boutique hotel. The rooms are beautiful and it is extremely clean. It’s very close to good restaurants and very quiet. The staff is excellent and answered all of our questions thoroughly and treated us with kindness. If I go back, it’s definitely where I’ll stay.

Great hotel to stay at in the central area of San Ignacio. It was clean with AC, cold filtered water, and staff was great. Walking distance to restaurants and downtown area. Parking was easy.

We had a great stay at the West House overall. Good location if you want to be able to walk around San Ignacio (probably the nicest hotel in that area). The reason for the mixed review is that we had something “go missing” from our room during our stay. It wasn’t something that we would ever bring out of the room with us and the worst part is that it was inside one of our bags when we left the room, meaning someone either went through the bag and took it or it fell out during the room cleaning and then was taken. The front desk staff (who are also bartending) were awesome. Very helpful with recommendations, helped us coordinate taxis, made incredible drinks. We asked them if the item had been turned in and they said no and that the house cleaning staff said they didn’t take it. It wasn’t particularly valuable so it’s a mystery to us as to how it ended up “missing” but other than this we did really enjoy our stay.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for us since we wanted to easily walk to restaurants and shops in town. There's a cafe downstairs with amazing coffee and tasty desserts. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. I'm glad there was a balcony to dry out wet clothes/ shoes after the ATM hike. I also want to highlight the friendly and courteous staff. They were so helpful! We were talking to them about the hike and, without us asking, they sent extra towels knowing we would get wet.

The room was great, very spacious. We had the studio king suite. Patio/ balcony was super cute. Carroll was very friendly & helpful as was the young lady who worked the reception & Luis, the security was great, too. Beautiful boutique hotel with the cutest little coffee shop. And the location can’t be beat. I highly recommend Westhouse Boutique Hotel.
