I am extremely disappointed that Expedia allows this property to be advertised as a hotel. This accommodation is not even close to a one-star standard, and the listing is completely misleading.
From check-in to check-out, the internet did not work at all. When this was raised, the woman in charge was rude, dismissive, and unconcerned, stating it would be “fixed on Monday” — which was irrelevant since my stay was only for the weekend (two nights).
This property is not a hotel and should not be described as one. The guesthouse is outdated and poorly maintained. There was no iron available in the room to prepare clothing, the showers were clearly not cleaned prior to our arrival, and although a mini refrigerator was present and plugged in, it did not work.
This was by far the worst experience I have had booking through Expedia. Properties like this need to be properly vetted before being advertised on a trusted platform. Allowing false advertising only leads to frustration and disappointment when guests arrive and are forced to deal with these issues.
