Check in was easy. The desk attendant was nice & a good communicator. When she asked for my card, she automatically explained that it would not be charged unless there was damage to the room, and no holds would be placed on it. She gave me a ground floor room, explaining that the stairs were quite tricky. The floors are part cement, which seemed hard to clean, so they were a tiny sticky/dirty, but the room had definitely been cleaned. They were neat though because the original tile was exposed in places. The couch was stained, but there was a little dining table so I didn't care. My room had a fridge/freezer which I needed, and a coffee maker! Temp was great. I turned AC off before bed and it remained cool all night/early the next day because the building is all cement w/ tall ceilings. There were good blackout curtains. The bed was comfortable, lighting was nice. Loft bed was neat, but I didn't use it. The pool is for lounging not swimming, but it was clean, and I enjoyed it a lot. There are little lounge beds to chill on by the pool that were cute. There used to be some sort of outdoor bar, but it wasn't open/finished. It would've been neat, but I was there at low season. Parking situation is rough. There is a nearby lot with an attendant, but it is not paved and there are several broken down cars, but my car was safe, and I felt safe.
TLDR: Neighborhood has not been gentrified yet, so it is not for bougie people, but it's safe. I liked it and would stay again.
