Great place, quiet and cosy.
After a cold and gloomy winter spent Zooming in a London flat and two weeks discussing with our Italian business partners from behind a mask, we decided we deserved a treat. So, we carved out three days for ourselves during our journey and decided to spend them in a place where we could stay outside and enjoy the mild weather of South Italy. We found exactly what we wanted: a recently renovated trullo surrounded by olive trees, with a lot of sun from dawn to dusk, a nice shady porch, and a shimmering swimming pool.
The interior is of high standard, with a tasteful combination of restored stonework and contemporary finishes. Perhaps it would benefit from the addition of some decorative accessories (it looks ‘too new’ now), but - I suppose - this is a matter of personal taste. The little cone-shaped bathroom is really cool, though!
We had some issues with the self-check-in but we Whatsapped the host and within ten minutes someone arrived to open the gate.
Liked: the location, the tranquillity, the sun, and the cooking facilities outside. I liked the gravelled patio (less so my husband who wanted a grassy space for his morning yoga practice).
Disliked: nothing really.
Overall, a great place, we will be back, perhaps in autumn.
