Great place for our group of five adults. We loved the back porch for gathering, proximity to state park, the kitchen had everything we needed.

Love this place!!
Loved this rustic cabin stay with river access. It's very spacious home that meets all your basic home needs. We enjoyed the pool, the workout area/sauna, the ping pong table, and the old school Mario video game. The back yard was spacious and we were able to play baseball and toss the football. We definitely spent most of our time on the back porch and back yard areas. Caught a couple of catfish as well and fried some fish. Made it to the General Store for steak and fish Friday night with live music and enjoyed some excellent Mexican food in San Saba which was just a 20 minute drive. (stayed 4 nights 5 days) My family loved it !!!

Colorado River Cabin near Colorado Bend
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin! It was close to Colorado Bend, right next to the river, very clean, with more than enough room for our family of 6, had a well stocked kitchen, toys for the kids, high chair for our toddler, with the added bonus of a pool and sauna! We’re nature lovers, so we enjoyed having multiple sightings of a barred owl nesting nearby. Apart from the cabin itself, it was a pleasure working with the owner. They were very responsive, helpful and flexible. I would highly recommend this place for a home away from home when visiting this area.

Eclipse 2024!
The description of the property was spot on. The facilities were super clean. Most of all the kitchen was very well equipped. Everything we needed to make our meals was available and the spice collection is very good. Also the pans were in very good condition. Jamie, the host was generous to offer early and late check-in and out. One member of our group owns a vaction rental, and she was thouroughly impressed.

Good getaway place
Overall property had been maintained and furnished well. Lot of kitchen utensils with adequate options to cook from. Sauna had been a highlight. There were a few shortcomings and hope they can be improved. Drinking water filtration system is in place but not working. Thermostat control doesn't seem to work. Either it gets too hot or too cold in some rooms. Only 1 bath room shower works properly. Others aren't getting hot water or too slow to take shower.

Birthday get together with friends
This place was perfect for 9 of us friends to get together and spend time together and celebrate a couple of birthdays. Spent some time hiking the park, enjoying the town of San Saba and playing some ping pong. Beds were comfortable and this place had everything we needed.

Charming Cabin Stay
My family and I enjoyed our stay at the cabin, we spent most of our weekend just hanging out because we liked the space so much. We had plenty of room and everything we needed for cooking in the kitchen. The sauna was super nice and had a nice workout area as well. The surroundings were peaceful. We would definitely return.

Great Time in San Saba
We enjoyed our family gathering so much! The cabin is well stocked with everything you need. Beds were super comfortable. Great rental for large families. Plenty of room to roam. It rained, so we didn't get to use the pool much, but really enjoyed the hot sauna. We also enjoyed an evening at The Bend General Store for fantastic burgers and live music. We will definitely be back for another stay soon!

Family Fun
We really enjoyed our stay at the house. Everything was so nice and clean. We especially enjoyed the pool in the backyard. We were hoping to kayak the Colorado River but it was pretty low. So most of the time was spent at the house just enjoying our family and relaxing. Will definitely stay again.

Colorado River Memories
The cabin was super comfortable and we felt right at home. There was plenty of room for adults & children, lots of places to hang out, read, or take a nap (beds were very comfy). The kids really loved the pool, and everyone enjoyed sitting outside on the back porch or around the pool in the evening. We grilled steaks & burgers, roasted marshmallows, and watched the stars come out. The Bend General Store was a fun experience on the weekend, and the quaint little town of San Saba was only 18 miles away. We also hiked a bit at Colorado Bend State Park, but it was very hot. All in all, everyone agreed that this was one of our best Family Get-togethers!! Thanks for the memories!

Perfect for our group
Accommodations were excellent. We brought a small group of kids and leaders from our church. The kitchen was well equipped for meals and the pool was very refreshing with our extra heated summer :-) Our group really enjoyed the ping pong and the corn hole. Everything was clean and very comfortable. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Awesome and Fun Place to Stay
We had a great time Celebrating all my Grandchildren’s birthdays with ages ranging from 1 to 18. And celebrated my first grandchild’s High School Graduation. The clean and roomy cabin had a well stocked kitchen and bathrooms, as well as plenty of towels and pool toys for use. We ate breakfast by the river and enjoyed being in the country. We made a very fun girls visit to nearby San Saba winery, Olive oil company and pecan shops. There is also an amazing bakery there you have to visit. The owners were very attentive and kind to answer questions. IT WAS OVERALL A FUN AND AMAZING STAY.

Family vacation
Had a great mini vacation here with the family. Great home for big groups. Loved having a pool and the option to fish in the river. Also loved how close it was to the state park. Only thing I would mention is I didn’t realize how close the neighbors were. Not much privacy. Overall, a great place to stay!

Birthday Trip
We took this trip to celebrate my oldest son's birthday. The property was spacious and clean. Check in was simple. Everything we needed was available just as stated on the website. The host was prompt in handling the concern we had with the pool. When I called the first day about cleaning the pool, an individual came right over to clean it. We were not able to enjoy the pool as much as I would have liked since it was very difficult to keep clean as there were so many caterpillars falling from the tree into the pool. Luckily we spent most of the daytime going to the nearby state parks. I called again on our final day and again an individual came promptly to clean the pool. My family was able to enjoy the pool for a few hours as I spent my time skimming out the caterpillars so my grandsons could enjoy the pool at least one day. I don't blame the host for this. This property is really getting back to nature so you take the good with the bad. Overall it was a great family trip. All thanks to the host and her helpers for doing their best to make our trip enjoyable.

Great house, in a remote quiet location
Really nice house. Had to fiddle with the heating to get things just right (you weren’t wrong about That middle room getting very warm!) but it was also a really cold snap and we got things comfortable. Definitely off the beaten path, but that was what we were looking for with the quiet and darkness at night. We’d definitely stay here again if we need this much space!

House was roomy and spacious enough with 4 adults and 4 kids when stuck in doors while it rained our whole time there. Super clean, had every kitchen tool needed to make a whole thanksgiving meal, and owners responded quickly.

We were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and quality of the cabin, the pictures do not do it justice. There were plenty of sleeping spaces. The weather was terrible while we were visiting, but there was enough to keep us occupied as we hunkered down inside.

Nice retreat
The first freeze of winter was not part of our itinreary, but daybreak with mist coming off the river and pool was a really nice view. The host was concerned about our visit due to hail in the area and was very accommodating.

Ladies trip without husbands, grandkids, and pets.
The property was perfect for our group of 10 ladies who have been traveling together for nearly 30 years. We were very comfortable and the house was clean, everything we needed was available, and the owner was very accommodating. I would highly recommend the property.

Great for our family with teens
We loved this property! Huge yard with a big flat area for games (we played croquet), the pool was close-in so we could keep an eye on the kids in the pool. It was great to have a bunk room where all the kids could sleep. We also loved the ping-pong table. We didn’t use the sauna, but it looked neat. And our big group hung out on the porch each evening, perfect for our gathering.

Great family trip
We rented this property for a get together with extended family and it was excellent! There were plenty of fun activities for everyone to do and lots of space to stretch out. We really enjoyed all the amenities (pool, ping pong table, video games, etc.) We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect
Minus a few things, everything was great! We usually do not care for neighbors, but they never caused us any problems. Fishing went great for us and the pool was perfect for the kids! She left us with ALL the amenities. Especially those needed for cleaning. Will definitely bring the family back. Oh I forgot to mention the beds were absolutely comfortable and the AC was perfect!

A relaxing, inviting place to vacation
My 17-year-old granddaughter immediately said "I love the esthetic ambiance of this place!" And she was right. The furniture was inviting and comfortable. The wall art and decorations were very interesting. The setting was cozy but not crowded even with 14 people in the house. The owners have gone above and beyond with amenities. Towels were plentiful for both the house and the pool. The kitchen was full of cooking equipment. There was plenty of outdoor seating and the pool was inviting. A variety of games were available to entertain everyone. Our fishermen even caught a few big fish. We took a trip to San Saba to play at their beautiful city park. Several of us made visits to the nearby state park. All in all it was a trouble free, pleasant vacation.

This property was very clean and inviting. It was very well equipped. Had everything we needed and more! The beds and linens were excellent! We loved the outdoor area and pool. The air conditioning and fans which was needed worked great. Definitely enjoyed our stay!

Great Birthday Weekend Getaway!!
We had a very relaxing weekend, with the fantastic house and pool. Everything we needed was there and it was all great. There is plenty of room for all and the outdoor area was very entertaining, with a nice view of the Colorado River in the back. My family had a wonderful time and I'm sure we will be back one day.

Mini family reunion
We spent the long weekend celebrating my moms 70th birthday. The house very comfortably fit 6 adults and 4 kids. Everything we needed was available to us, and the whole family enjoyed the pool, the sauna, the ping pong table, and bag toss. It was a great time of laughter and time together without distractions! The neighbor houses are pretty close but we never heard or saw anyone, it was very peaceful and quiet while we were there. Thanks for a great time of memories made!

Very nice place!
Most everything was great and host was very accommodating, courteous & friendly. Only a few minor things were a little disappointing… One was the quantity of stickers out in back yard towards river…& another was that we couldn’t use the dock to get in and out with our kayaks (as dock is not floating…it’s too high above water to be able to get out of kayak…. i.e. steep river banks). Anyway, I think host mentioned the stickers ahead of time, but I can’t remember if it was actually in the listing or not. There were a few smart-mouth kids at nearby dock that harassed us a bit, but we calmly reprimanded them & made peace with them (we have no idea if they lived nearby or were nearby guests…& it’s certainly not the fault of our host). All in all, it’s a wonderful place to gather with family & it’s a well kept & a well stocked place. I see why it has so many good reviews!
