“Our stay at the GrandWest Arashiyama was exceptional. The room was spacious and clean, reception was incredibly helpful, and the location was quiet and idyllic. During our stay we made the most of the amenities including free refreshments, a washing/drying machine, and a cute cafe situated just downstairs from the hotel entrance. Our stay here was easily one of the best parts of our trip to Japan and I highly encourage those visiting Arashiyama to consider this hotel!”

“The room was within walking distance from the bamboo forest and local restaurants. It was hard to find dining at night because some restaurants close early and you have to cross bridge to search for other restaurants. Too many gnats flying around. Gnats were also in the rooms. The staff were really nice and very helpful and patient.”

“Different options available for the hot springs (private and public), clean rooms, good service, and conveniently located 3 mins from a local JR train station. Fantastic relaxation spot with the Japanese ryokan feel that comes wirh modern amenities in a good location.”

“Mi è piaciuto tutto, dalla camera al personale. Ciabatte, pigiama, spazzolini e dentifricio forniti dall'hotel. Frigo e macchinetta per tea e caffè. Unica pecca, che però non ha inciso sul mio soggiorno, non c'è un armadietto per gli abiti. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo ”

“La fermata dell’ autobus è a due passi, un po’ distante dal centro ma grazie ad i mezzi pubblici non ci sono problemi.Il personale è gentile, ci ha offerto gli asciugamani tornati dal giro quotidiano per farci asciugare dalla pioggia... ci ha tenuto le valigie prima del check inn e le abbiamo ritrovate in camera ben sistemate. Bagni puliti, Wi-Fi buona, stanza fumatori. Bene in generale.”
