Close to fantastic hiking and solid options for eating out, and a quick drive to Lake Placid if you want a bit more variety or to do some shopping. This was the cleanest rental house I’ve ever encountered, and I’ve rented a lot over the years. The house was well-stocked and had everything we needed. The owners were thorough and responsive. “Beautiful and cozy home and environment. Early mornings sitting in front of a fire place, late nights in a hot tub and outdoor firepit, rainy days sitting inside the screened in porch area- listening to the rain come down and playing board games, billiards table and secluded gaming area for the little ones/teenagers. My only negatives would be the grill needs to be deep scrubbed/grates replaced because its definitely seen its fair share of usage and making sure batteries to remotes are changed...
