Downtown Single Family Modern Bungalow close to beaches and dining by RedAwning

A charming single-family historic 2-bedroom Bungalow in the heart of Sarasota,

Florida, has updated kitchen with designer furnishings and linens. The outdoor

living space is as comfortable as the indoor, featuring an outdoor living area

with cantilever lighted umbrella shades, a dining area,, and a charcoal

grill. All in an abundantly tropical semi fenced setting amongst mature bamboo

and oaks.



This cozy 1000-square-foot Bungalow can sleep up to 6 people. The master

bedroom has a queen-size bed, and the guest room has a Queen-size under one

twin bunk. The kitchen features all new appliance's blender/smoothie maker, a

fantastic set of pots and pans, a double sink, a bistro dining set, and a

coffee maker.



The living room has high-speed internet and a 60-inch smart TV that can access

Netflix, Amazon, Pandora, and more. There are also work desks with high-speed

Wi-Fi throughout the home. There is ample parking for 2 cars. We've also got

storage for an RV or boat for and additional charge if you decide to bring

them.



Within walking distance to the downtown center, you will find Whole Foods,

theaters, parks, music venues, and over 50 exceptional restaurants. The Ed

Smith Baseball stadium is only 1/2 mile away, and the Vanweezel Performing

Arts Theatre, The Ringling Museum, Lido Ley Island, and Siesta Key world-

renowned white sand beaches, are nearby too. A tropical paradise holiday

Reunion stay

The place was clean, neat and had all we needed. I brought my puppy so a complete fence would have been an added bonus but it was not a huge issue. It was also centrally located to all the places I went while in Sarasota.

Did not stay. The neighborhood was unsafe.

After seeing the activity in the neighborhood, we decided it was unsafe and we did not stay. Property manager has been unresponsive.

Trip to Sarasota

Everything was pretty much as pictured except for living room. The furniture in living room did not match what was online at all. Not as comfortable -but beds were comfortable. Kitchen was okay. Dining room table didn't match but I didn't care about that... Outside needs cleaned up. Garbage cans and trash was left out the whole time we were there didn't pick up and luckily we didn't need to use the outside except to take the dog out... Didn't really like the lock system on door. Had to unlock every time I took dog out and then lock when we came back in... Wish there had been a screen door to maybe leave open to get some air in...Bathroom could use some fixing up..but all in all it was ok...

Had to change primary person and she never received info to check in. Area was not safe. Area and property were run down from outside. Didn’t feel comfortable staying so had to find a room last minute.

A few issues

It started off poor in that the fact we brought a dog. The listing said a certain fee for a pet, but then we were hit with a an extra hidden fee, so the fee was actually more - i HATE hidden fees. The house itself. The room with the non-bunk bed's bed frame is SOOO squeaky loud I could not sleep. So we had to switch beds with our daughter (1 person causing a squeak is better than 2) who took super squeaky bed and we took the bunk. I took the top bunk. The sheets smelled like body odor and I got bit 6 times by what i believe were fleas. I am allergic to flea bites, they still itch 2 weeks later. I question the overall cleanliness of the house because of this. I cannot recommend staying here until that bed is replaced and they make sure the place is flea bombed and free of fleas. And please make sure the sheets don't stink of BO.

Run Down, Bad Neighborhood, So Much Wrong

I can't begin to explain how disappointed we were in this place. We stayed for 2 nights because we did not have a choice but left 2 days early. The place was clearly a place that someone bought, schlopped some paint on (albeit not very well), and calls it a vacation rental. It was worse than my first college apartment. It was far from a "Modern Bungalow" - reality is this place was not modern or fit for being a vacation rental in any way - doing a half hearted job redoing a kitchen does not make something modern. It was dirty. It had a funny smell. It had broken shelves. It had trash/brush strewn in the backyard. The back sitting area canopies were falling all over the backyard furniture. There was a hole in the floor in front of the sink under the LVT where your foot almost sank through. Cabinets were busted. Icemaker was out. Owner's personal property strewn throughout. Then, when concerns were voiced and we were forced to relocate, the owner/host claimed we never left. Well, we did, we stayed at a friend's across town. We obviously have friends that would corroborate it and we have the Uber receipt and the fact that we did not log into the front door lock app to prove it, yet, they refuse to provide a refund - I am not even asking for refunds for the nights we did stay there (we had to, as we had no options until our friend's place opened up), but for the ones WE DID NOT stay there they refuse. Entire process - host, RedAwning and even VRBO was horribly disappointing.

4 towels, 4 wash cloths and ants

Very frustrated about a few things but great location for our work trip. I knew there was no washer or dryer but figured there had to be an iron and ironing board. There was not. There were only 4 wash cloths for 2 guys for 4 nights. I did request some to be brought by in which the house keeper no showed. Very frustrating
