I'm not really one to usually complain, but I must say I was terribly disappointed in this cabin. When I first arrived some obvious issues immediately jumped out about the condition of the property. The waterfall feature that was a selling point of the cabin was out of order. The only closet had a large broken dresser and other junk taking up all the closet space. Therefore, we had no place to hang our clothes during the stay. The "hot" tub temperature didn't get above lukewarm at best and several of the jets weren't working. After inspecting the hot tub is when I began noticing how absolutely unclean the cabin really was. There was a bottle cap on the side of the hot tub which led me to wonder if it had even been cleaned. The window ledges had layers of caked on dust. The kitchen towels were horribly stained. The oven was disgusting and filled with burnt food remains. I tried my best to get past all the untidy issues with the cabin and it wasn't until the day of check out that I really became mortified. Upon my first inspection of the bed linens they at least looked clean and fresh. It wasn't until I stripped the bed sheets and the mattress cover came off slightly that I saw pure black dirt and even coin money covering the mattress. To say I was grossed out is a complete understatement. But, that wasn't even the last surprise this cabin had in store for me. One of my shoes got slightly pushed under the edge of the bed. As I reached down to retrieve my shoe I noticed piles of trash just shoved under the bed. There were literally bottles, cans, napkins and wrappers that had been under the bed for lord knows how long. This cabin has the potential to be really nice and has a great location. But, they definitely need to upgrade their cleaning services immediately. Customer service did credit me with a refund of the cleaning fee. But, honestly I feel they should have comped the whole stay or given me a credit for a future rental due to the numerous issues with this cabin.
