“Very comfortable and welcoming place! A real hidden gem not too far away from the city. The house and property and gorgeous, the breakfast is big and delicious, and the programs that they run are great. I attended a Reiki circle that I found very helpful and relaxing. The shiatsu massage chairs are also excellent. I would return and I will recommend Rising Star!”

“Clean modern building. The room was very large as was the bathroom. Lobby had a spacious lounge area with a tv and an area where you could purchase snacks. Coffee was available all day. All staff members we encountered were helpful and very friendly. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of both hot and cold items. Lots of tables and areas to sit. We will definitely be back.”

“Very convenient”

“The parking lot/garage is huge, but no signs telling you which is closer to the hotel. And no marked hotel entrance. Prepare for a long walk, possibly through a shady parking lot g garage. The room was fine, nothing special. They had a whole wall of curtains to make you think you have big windows, but when you open them, there is a comically small window at one end. The carpet was dirty, literal crumbs everywhere, obviously not vacuumed. Everything was so dusty, every surface felt like it needed...

“Most of the channels on the television didn't work. Shower pressure was awesome! No grab bars for getting in and out of the tub. Comfortable bed. Very clean.”

“We arrived at 8:30. We were tired and just wanted get our room and go to sleep. The front desk person was rude and very disrespectful. She was no help what so ever. We will not recommend this hotel to anyone and if asked will tell them to go anywhere else but there. Hotel was clean. Breakfast was so disappointing that we just left and went to Tim Hortons to eat breakfast. After lying $262 for one night stay it was no where near worth the money we were charged.”

“Loved everything! Never done B&B and I think I was spoiled. Spacious room, Nice bed, pillows, lighting, t.v, jacuzzi tub, or shower and an eclectic mix of items and paintings/photos to look at. Also you will not get breakfast like that at a hotel. Served when YOU are ready to eat. My kind of place. Martin and Petra are kind and direct hosts. If they were all like this I would NEVER stay in a hotel again.”

“I had a very good and quiet sleep with lots of nice pillows and a very clean bed, as well as a clean room and towels. Checking in was easy with messages arriving in a timely way for how to use the pin to unlock the door. The lamps in the room had outlets to plug in my phone charger and I loved the retro fridge and microwave. The bathroom was spotless and the towels smelled clean and fresh. The only thing I would’ve appreciated is a blow dryer in the bathroom as the one I brought stopped working....

“It’s a perfect location to be in to experience the city on foot, or by electric scooter/bike. The parking allowed past check out time is a thoughtful perk to allow more to time to shop and explore the city.”
