- This charming cottage is perfect for a couple or small family looking to make the most of Northumberland's attractions. Located at the end of a peaceful lane in Seahouses, this coastal accommodation offers day trips to the Farne Islands and many castles in nearby villages including Bamburgh, Alnwick, Dunstanburgh, and Warkworth (all within 20 miles). Holy Island, home to the famous Lindisfarne Castle, is also accessible for a day out. Seahouses itself is a seaside destination offering plenty of restaurants, pubs and an 18-hole golf course, with Seahouses Beach offering a sweeping, sandy stretch that's a favourite among walkers and anglers. Regular boat trips operate along the coastline, providing opportunities to spot grey seals.
Inside this homely cottage, the spacious and airy lounge offers comfortable leather sofas for relaxing, complemented by a TV/DVD and a coal-effect electric fire for cosy evenings together. The airy kitchen/diner is equipped with everything needed for cooking up Northumberland feasts, including a spacious dining table for planning the next day’s adventures over shared meals. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms – a master double room and a cosy twin – served by a well-appointed family bathroom with a shower over the bath.
Outside, to the front of the cottage, awaits an enclosed patio with outdoor furniture for quiet morning coffees and evening tipples. Guests will also benefit from one off-street parking space, as well as unallocated on-street parking.
