“We are no strangers to the town of Beaufort and typically visit at least once a year. This trip was extra special as it included 4 generations of family staying under one roof for the first time. We all enjoyed the front porch rocking chairs and swing, especially my grandparents who are in their late 80s. Since we were just a few blocks from Front Street, we indulged in some of our favorite Beafort hot spots: Beaufort Grocery, Dockhouse, Backstreet Pub, Moonrakers, No Name Pizza, Front Street...

Great location to visit Shackleford Banks and Cape Lookout. The owners were out of town during our visit but still made sure we enjoyed some shrimp. Views are beautiful from the living room, porch, swing, hammock or by the water. Cape Lookout lighthouse can be seen from inside the house or the dock. Highly recommended!”

“Great little property for a weekend stay for one of my teens and me. It's across the street from the Saturday Farmers' Market but set back from the road so was quiet. A 5-10 minute walk to Front Street--no need to drive in. We enjoyed the outdoor eating area and the parking space was very handy. Everything was clean and as pictured.”

“The house itself is pretty rustic, but the property is fabulous! The view from the screened porch was beautiful, and the morning sunrises were incomparable. There is no Wi-Fi, but there is plenty of fun to be had. We kayaked and enjoyed the waterfront deck all week. We did day trips to Ocracoke and Beaufort which were easily accessible from Cedar Sunrise. We didn’t fish, but you could fish right from the deck if you wanted to. The house is very basic, but it was nice to unplug for the week....

“Shipwrecked on Shell Hill was a wonderful choice for our family getaway. We had the main house and the boat house at max capacity with a wide variety of ages, and everyone had a great time. Jeremiah was very quick to communicate before, during, and after our stay anytime I had a question or concern. The small community of Sea Level is far away from town (but has a Dollar General 5 minutes away) and it was such a perfect 2.5 mile loop for a morning jog or bike riding. The yard had just enough...

“Kind of rustic. The owner is great. If you have a question he will answer immediately. He will try to help any way he can. Plan to stay with him again. Good place to go if you want to get away. The closest store is 3 miles away.”
