“We booked one of the nicer rooms. It seemed like a renovation project had been started but not finished. Half the wooden floor had been sanded and in places patched, the rest was stained. Shower was a clunky 70’s spa tub which ran hot and cold without any changes to the lever. Cupboard with glass doors was missing glass in one of them. Exterior of the hotel looked run down. On the plus side the staff were friendly and very helpful and the cooked breakfast tasty. Parking was fine and location was...

“Nice clean room , room was on the ground floor at the front so there was a bit of road noise . In hindsight as I was up early for a sporting event I should have asked for a room further away from the road . The bathroom was very nice but decor and furniture in the room was a bit tired , and the bed was not to me and my wife’s liking but that’s just a preference I guess . Generally a very nice place and perfect for our stay”

“I loved my stay here. The location is perfect. Ambleside is very walkable so everything was close. The room had windows with beautiful views of the town, and I really appreciated there being a full length mirror in there. It was quiet and comfortable. Meg and John take great care of their guests. I was given a parking disc that could be used at a few different car parks in the area. Breakfast was absolutely lovely with a lot of choices. I’m so pleased with my choice to stay here!”
